St. Joseph-St. Anne All children are invited to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt this morning after Mass. Everyone is welcome to come to the church hall and enjoy refreshments and visit with the parish family. A big THANK YOU to everyone for their generous contribution of colored eggs and home baked goodies. EASTER BLESSINGS A very blessed and grace filled Easter from our whole staff here at St. Joseph and St. Anne. The teachers, who teach our children so well, the maintenance crew, who keep our facilities so bright and shinny, the people who answer the phones, the people who balance our books and all the volunteers who make our operation run so smoothly. I tell you once again that I am proud to be your Pastor. Father John PLEASE NOTE A great big "Thank You" to all the Knights and their Ladies and all those who helped make the Lenten Fish Frys such a grand success. This year the Knights of Columbus donated $5,700.00 to our school. It is a tribute to their hard work and the support of you, the parishioners. OUR SICK RELATIVES AND FRIENDS Michelle Anderson, Martha Archer "Jesus Christ is Risen Today, Alleluia!" Today in churches throughout the Archdiocese of St. Louis these joyful words are proclaimed because our Savior who was in the tomb for three days is risen. Thus, we give thanks and praise this day to God for the redemption that He has won for us in Jesus Christ. The Eternal Son, who emptied himself by dying on the cross, has conquered evil at its roots by opening the path of return to the Father. He is the Gate of life who at Easter overcomes the gates of hell. He is the Door of salvation, opened wide for all, the Door of divine mercy, who sheds a new light on human existence. On the Easter Sunday I extend to all of you my prayerful good wishes for a very blessed Easter. Sincerely yours in Christ, PLEASE HELP Several of our regular ushers have had to quit because of health problems.
The ushers are the official greeters of our parish. They are the first to be seen by new
people coming to our church. We need volunteers for each Mass so if you can help, please
contact the rectory. Ushers need to be at church at least thirty minutes before Mass is to
begin. Your help is always appreciated. |
