THIRD SUNDAY OF
ADVENT
THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD GOD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE THE LORD HAS ANOINTED ME; HE
HAS SENT ME TO RING GLAD TIDINGS TO THE POOR, TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED
(ISAIAH 61:1)
The Lord God has anointed all of us
through Baptism and He has sent each of us on a mission.
Each of us has been given unique gifts and talents so that we can help
fulfill Gods mission here on earth. Are
you doing the things Jesus sent you here to do?

ST. ANNE CHURCH,
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.
As one of the oldest members of St. Anne Parish, who was present
at the Christmas Sunday Breakfast given by the St. Anne Parish Council I would like to
show my appreciation for the most delicious meal.I realize that it was a lot of hard work.
Thanks to all of our members and visitors who attended. Thanks to all who do good deeds
for our Parish. God will not forget you.
Anita Schmidt
If you would like to attend the discussion group on WHY I AM
A CATHOLIC please sign up on the sheet in the back of Church. We will have a meeting
of those who signed up so we can determine the day and time.Every one welcome!
OUR LADY SODALITY
Father Joe Pitz from the Kings House
Retreat and Renewal Center in Belleville, Ill will be hosting a one day Retreat for the
ladies of St. Joseph and St. Anne Parish. Bring
a friend. Lunch will be provided. We will
begin at 9:00a.m. and conclude at 3:30p.m. A
great ending would be to go to confession and attend the 4:00p.m. Mass together. Please use the sign up sheet in the back of Church
or contact Janet Mecey at 358-0684, Mary Wood at 358-2394
or Becky Kelly at 358-5369. The
Retreat is free however a donation jar will be
available. More information to follow. Please watch the bulletin in the next few weeks.
Congratulations to our Home and School
Association! The St. Joseph School Christmas
Float tied for third place in the Annual Bonne Terre Christmas Parade. The theme of the parade was CHRISTMAS FUTURE. Our float was a
Nativity Scene with the saying, CHRISTMAS OF THE FUTURE
SOME THINGS NEVER
CHANGE. Great Job!!!
DAUGHTERS OF ISABELLA
Dont forget the Christmas Party on
December 12th. We will begin at 6:30p.m. Games will be played and the gift
exchange is optional. We will also have
attendance prizes. Sounds like an evening of
fun.
THE FLU AND COLD SEASON IS HERE
We are now coming into the flu and cold
season. Last year we were given the option to
hold hands during the Lords Prayer or simply raise your hands in prayer. Once again you now have that option. Please do not take offence if your neighbor does
not extend their hand. As we work our way
through the coming weeks may everyone be
blessed with good health.
