St. Anne Parish

Our Christmas party is today Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 4:00 pm in the church basement. We will have a dinner and games for all ages. We are asking each family to bring a cover side dish of your choice or dessert. We hope to see you and your family there! It will be a delightful way to spend the holiday with your church family. Santa may be dropping by, so everyone be on their best behavior.

Daughters of Isabella

Our Christmas Party will be here soon. Mark your calendar for Monday, December 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the church basement. The priced of the catered dinner is $9. Bring your husband or a friend. All prospective members are welcome for an evening of fun. Don’t forget an attendance prize and an exchange gift if you wish to participate, ($5.00 limit). Lastly, please bring cookies for our shut-in members. Some fruit or soft candy is also appreciated. See you all there!

Holy Land

Father John will be visiting the Holy Land as part of his 40th Anniversary Celebration. You are invited to join him. Attendees will depart on April 2, 2009 and return on April 13, 2009. The sites that the Bible speaks of Holy Week
will be visited. The cost is $3,600 per person.
The price has increased due to a $500 surtax as well as the rise of other traveling expenses,
making the total trip cost more expensive than usual. If you are interested please come to our meeting today, December 7th at noon in the church basement. Twenty people need to sign-up in
order to make this pilgrimage possible.

Vincentian Marian Youth

The next Vincentian Marian Youth Encounter at the Shrine Church in Perryville, Missouri is scheduled for December 14. The Faith Alive will start at 6pm with an Advent theme. Mass featuring contemporary Christian music following at 6:10 with Father Joe Williams as the main celebrant. We will end the evening off with food, fun, sharing, and laughter in the visitor’s center. This VMY event is geared for teens and young adults but all ages are welcome to come! Hope to see you there!

Annual Sleigh Raffle
St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School is holding the Annual Sleigh Raffle. This year there are 2 sleighs. A smaller gift card sleigh was added in addition to our large traditional item/toy sleigh. Two winners will be drawn; the first name drawn will receive their choice of sleigh. The second winner will receive the remaining sleigh.
The tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. The winner of the gift card sleigh will win the sleigh and all of its contents and the winner of the item/toy sleigh will win the contents only of the large sleigh. Winners will be drawn on 12/15/2008 and need not be present to win. The Parents Home and School Association thank you for your support!

March for Life
Prolife Trip

Vincentian Marian Youth Sponsored Event Prolife Trip: The National March for Life- Washington, DC, trip is scheduled from Tuesday evening January 20 to Sunday evening, January 25. Fliers and registration forms are available from the VMY office at 573-547-3300, the website at www.vmy.us or call Cathy at 573-517-2212. Sign ups are due by December 20. The cost will be $200. This is an awesome event- come join us!

Our Lady Sodality

We are selling tickets for a grocery cart full of groceries value of $450.00. The tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. They are available at the Rectory or from any of the sodality members. Tickets will be available at our Christmas - Cookie & Craft Sale this weekend! Drawing will be December 16 at our Christmas party. As you know all of our funds go directly to helping the school.
