On November 28, 2007, 7-9PM, Dr. Barbara Blackburn will present

practices. This presentation is for adults in all types of families, including newly
married couples, single and two-parent households with children, grandparents,
empty nesters with adult children, etc. It is part of a Speakers Series entitled Wednesday Wisdombeing sponsored by the Office of Laity &
Family Life. It will be held at the Cardinal Rigali Center, 20 Archbishop May Dr., St.
Louis, Mo, 63119. The event is $5.00 per person. Please call 314-792-7183 to make a

ST. ANNE CHURCH
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.
Thanksgiving Prayer
Dear Lord, on this Thanksgiving Day, please bring us not only good
food and memories but help us remember that it is you we are thanking.
When we enjoy our meal with our relatives, may we thank you, who
brings all food from the earth. When we enjoy the company of relatives and friends, may we
thank you, the source of all life and happiness.
And when we pray our prayer of blessing,
may our hearts be on you, who is the source of all holiness, joy,and every blessing that
is showered on us.
Amen.
As we celebrate this Thanksgiving Day, please let us remember and
be thankful for our gifts of freedom. Especially our gift of freedom from oppression, our
gift of freedom to gather and worship as we choose, our gift of freedom to work, our gift
of freedom to vote, and most important of all our gift of freedom to choose.
May you enjoy your Thanksgiving Day and weekend.
The Parish Office will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance
of Thanksgiving. The office will be open Monday.
