DAUGHTERS OF ISABELLA

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
This past summer, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
voted to extend the annual appeal for the Retirement Fund for Religious. The continued
commitment on the part of the nations Bishops manifests our support for our elderly
men and women religious whose numbers continues to rise and whose health care costs are
growing.
The retired men and women religious in the Archdiocese of St.
Louis are a blessing for both their religious families and for the Catholic faithful.
Their lives are often hidden but they are a most fruitful presence in our midst.
The Retirement Fund for
Religious will be taken up in our parishes during the November 4-5 weekend. Through
this annual appeal, Catholics in the Archdiocese of St. Louis express their gratitude to
these religious and assist their congregations in caring for their many needs, especially
the escalating costs of retirement.
On behalf of the retired religious in the Archdiocese of St.
Louis, I thank you for your generosity. I appeal to you once again to share in the care of
these retired religious through your contributions to the Retirement Fund for Religious next Sunday. Thank you
for your continued generosity to our retired religious!
Asking Gods blessing upon you and your families, I remain
Yours devotedly in Christ,
