"The man gave names to all the cattle, all the birds of the
air, and all wild animals; but none proved to be the suitable partner for the man"
(GENESIS 2:20)
The creation story reminds us that from the very beginning of time
God put the entire world into our care. We can care for Gods world and for
one another through our stewardship.
Reminder: This is Stewardship Intention Sunday Did you
remember your intention card? Please be sure to take another from the back of church if
you need one and return it next week. Thank you in advance for sharing your time, talents
and treasure.
Today we are being given the opportunity to participate with the
funding of the education and training of men currently being formed as permantant deacons
for service to our parishes and our community. You are being asked to provide not only
your financial assistance, but your prayers also, so that these dedicated men may continue
to be formed in this ministry, and for the growth of the Diaconate program.

175th ANNIVERSARY
Congratulation to all the members
of St. Anne Parish for the way we celebrated our heritage and history.
There are some who worked harder than others and each of you wonderful people know
who you are.
God provided a beautiful day. We worshipped Him with joyful hearts at the
Eucharist. We thanked Him for the bounty he provided for our lunch. The music and games
capped off a marvelous day for all.
Let us always thank God for our wonderful parish.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Father John

RESPECT LIFE MONTH
"The conflict is between a culture that affirms, cherishes,
and celebrates the gift of life, and a culture that seeks to declare entire groups of
human beings the unborn, the terminally ill, the handicapped and others considered
unuseful to be outside the boundaries of legal protection"(John
Paul II, St. Louis, Jan. 99). Plan to attend the Archdiocesan Pro-Life Convention
"Pray That They Will Have Life- 2003 on S unday, October 19th at the
Adams Mark Hotel. Luncheon tickets are $25.00 per person. Call the Pro-Life Office
at (314) 792-7555 to make reservations.
Dear Friends:
The general policy for our cemeteries for floral displays is that
they must be on the headstones. No glass or wire is to be put around the headstone except
on July 4th and Memorial Day. If you do put floral displays on those holidays
they should be removed within two weeks.
This policy has not been observed and our maintenance people have
had to mow around them and this makes the cemeteries very unattractive.
As we prepare for the winter I have instructed the maintenance
crew to remove anything that is not on the headstone and do the necessary trimming.
Yours in Christ,
Father John
