UPCOMING EVENTS:
Annual Ham
and Turkey Shoot. Rain or shine. Flyers and Raffle Tickets are in the back of Church.
On Sunday, September 28th St. Anne will celebrate their
175th anniversary. It will begin with the celebration of the Eucharist at
11:00a.m. followed by an afternoon of festivities. Because of our close relationship with
our sister parish, I would hope we will be well represented on this special day. More
information will follow later.
One form of prayer that pleases Jesus very much is just to be
still and simply let Jesus love you in the Blessed Sacrament. Just as you cant be
exposed to the sun without receiving its rays, so, too, you cant come before the
Blessed Sacrament without receiving the divine rays of the grace and love of the Son of
God. All are invited to take part in the Eucharistic Adoration that takes place this
Friday. Benediction will be at 5:00p.m. He patiently awaits our coming.
Share a life of love and peace. Spread the Good News.
Next weeks collection is for the CATHOLIC COMMUNICATION
CAMPAIGN. Our Holy Fathers World Communication Day 2003 message reminds us that the
media must be placed in the service of peace an authentic peace that must be based
on truth, justice and love. Your generous gift will help the CCC to provide television,
radio and print materials that communicate this simple yet profound message to all.
This year we have started a new award. It is called the Festival
Leader of the Year Award.
The winner of this first annual recognition award is Joe Layden.
His plaque will be placed in the Parish Hall on our new Wall of Fame.
Please check it out the next time you are down for donuts.
The first Thursday of the month C.C.s Pizza will donate a
percentage of their sales if you mention St. Joseph School, Bonne Terre.
FRIENDS FOR LIFE
Members of the Pro Life Committee would like to thank both St. Joseph
and St. Anne for their generous support in the Friends For Life campaign.
A total of over $900.00 was given.
All Friends For Life (patrons) will be listed in the Archdiocesan Pro-Life
Committees 2003 convention book.
