School opened on August 20th. There will be a change
in the Mass schedule on Monday, August 25th. Mass will be celebrated at
8:00a.m. in the School Auditorium. We will have a special blessing of the school following
Mass.
Coffee, juice and donuts will be provided. Come and join the
children. Everyone is invited.
FRIENDS FOR LIFE
The Gospel of Life call us to respect and protect all human
life, especially the most vulnerable of our brothers and sisters. You can be a Friend For
Life.
This weekend you will find Friends For Life envelopes in the pews.
There will be a second collection. Please be generous in supporting the Pro Life programs
and outreach efforts of the Archdiocese.
All Friends For Life (patrons) will be listed in the Archdiocesan
Pro-Life Committees’ 2003 convention book.

Congratulations to Robert and Anna Mosberger on their fiftieth
wedding anniversary.
Robert and Anna Mosberger were married by Father Williasm
Schattman at St. Thomas Church on August 29, 1953.
They were blessed with six children of which three are healthy and
living today. They also have three grand children.
May God continue to bless you with good health and love.

symbol of unity of those who come together to worship and a means of fostering that unity.
DEMO: FINALLY:
With the new general instruction, we are asked to make a sign of
reverence, before receiving communion: by bowing and extending your left hand cupped with
your right, then step to the side so the next communicant may reverantly receive.
THE DEACON:
After the Priest, invirture of the sacred ordination he has
received, the Deacon has first place among those who minister in the celebration of the
Eucharist. For the sacred order of the Diaconate has been held in high honor in the Church
sine the time of the Aposltes.
When a Deacon is present, he carries the Book of the Gospels
reverently elevated over his head.
After the Priest introduces the General Intercessions, the Deacon
announces the Intentions (Lector when the Deacon is not present.)
P.S.R. classes will begin September 7th. The classes
will be held in the school building before the 10:00a.m. Mass from 9:00a.m. to 9:45a.m.
