A childs rosary in a small
pouch has been lost. This is a very special rosary that holds sentimental value. A reward
is being offered if found. Contact Victor Hunn at 358-4216.
FRIENDS FOR LIFE. The Archdiocesan Pro-Life
Committee is conducting its annual convention patron drive. The Gospel of Life calls us to respect and protect all human
life, especially the most vulnerable of our brothers and sisters. You can be a Friend for Life. Your contribution will enable us to continue
helping women experiencing crisis pregnancies; saving lives of unborn babies; protecting
the vulnerable, the weak and elderly, educating about the sanctity of human life; and
ministering to those who suffer from the aftermath of an abortion experience.
This weekend you will find Friends for
Life envelopes in the pews. We will have a second collection, please be generous in
supporting the pro-life programs and outreach efforts of the Archdiocese.
All Friends for Life (patrons)
will be listed in the Archdiocesan Pro-life Committees 2002 Convention Book.
Father Richard Bayuk, C.PP.S would like to convey his gratitude to the
people of St. Anne and St. Joseph for their generosity and hospitality. He expressed that
it was a joy to celebrate the liturgies and preach the word to such warm and friendly
people. Through your generous response, 46 children and elderly were sponsored on that
special weekend.
Let us remember this week in our daily prayers all of our friends
and relatives that are under the weather. All those in a hospital or recuperating at home
or in a nursing home: Germain Mantia, Bob Rupp, Bob Franz, Tommie Nienhause, Diane Lee,
Agnes Vargo, Kasey Jenkins,Blackie Vallo and Leif Mathias.
August is a time when our Catholic schools reopen for the fall. Your generous
support of the Archdiocesan Development Appeal each year helps make that return possible
for many. Funds from the ADA not only help those who couldnt otherwise afford a
Catholic education, but also help keep Catholic education affordable for everyone.
