Last week Father John announced and had inserts in the bulletin
about the volunteer Committee Chairman’s names and their activities. These forms have
been placed in the pews this week.
Please take a moment and look over the jobs needed to make our
once a year, annual festival successful.
Saturday volunteers are very important for setting up and kitchen
help to peel potatoes, preparing slaw and other dinner food preparation.
Every booth and dinner helper is important and greatly
appreciated.
Again please fill in your name and phone number where we can reach
you, along with the job number you would like to work.
Volunteers are asked to work 2 hour shifts, write in the hours you
are available. The Committee Chairperson’s will call you to confirm your shift time.
Monday volunteers are needed to dismantle booths, tents and clean up. Please complete the
form if you can help. Free lunch is provided on both Saturday and Monday for all volunteer
workers.
Please remember to tell your family and friends to spread the word
about our festival to have a fun time while supporting our parish and the Christian
Community on Sunday, September 21, 2008

Birthright of Hillsboro, Inc. Wishes to express their appreciation
to all those who participated in the recent Mother’s Day card Fundraiser. The
$16,000.00 raised from this event will be used to maintain a crisis center where any
pregnant girl or woman, may find help as near as her telephone. Birthright’s phone

St. Joseph’s Annual Golf
Tournament
St. Joseph’s will be holding its sixteenth annual benefit
golf tournament at Terre Du Lac Golf Course on August 15, 2008. It will be a 4 person
scramble-flighted. Tee Time is 1:00 P.M. Please register by completing the form which is
located in the back of church. Need to ask questions, call Butch Miles at 573-562-7430

Old Fashion Country Picnic at Holy Family Church at Port Hudson, 8
miles south of New Haven on Highway C in Franklin county on Sunday, July 27th. Chicken and
beef dinners are served from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm. Adults $9.00; children 6 to 10 $5.00;
carry outs $7.00 and children under 6 free. Home made ice cream will also be available.

St. Lawrence Parish, Lawrenceton, MO will hold its Annual Picnic,
Sunday, July 20, 2008, on the parish grounds. Delicious dinners featuring Home Style Fried
Chicken and Kettle Beef along with Liver Dumplings and all the trimmings will be served
starting at 11:00 AM. We feature handmade quilts at our Bingo, a Country Store and games
for young and old. Take Highway 67 North or South to Highway Y. Go east about 10 miles and
you are at the picnic!
