Looking - Looking Looking
We would like to take this time to thank Jamie Weiss for being the
PSR Director during the past few years. We would also like to thank the teachers that have
assisted in the classes. As all good things in life must change from time to time, so do
volunteers.
We are looking for a new PSR Director and two teachers. Classes
usually begin the first Sunday after Labor Day weekend and conclude the first Sunday of
May. PSR Classes meet every Sunday in the school and begin at 9:00AM. Jamie has agreed to
help in the transition. Special training is not necessary. Only a desire to help the
children.
Please think about it, pray about it. If you can spare some of
your time please contact the Parish Office at 573-358-2112. Someone will get back in touch
with you.
All students attending public school must attend these classes in
order to prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation.

Festival News
After consultation with several of the chairpersons it has been
decided to hold our next Parish Festival in September 2008. We will not have a Festival in
the fall of 2007 or the spring of 2008. This will give all of us the opportunity to plan
ahead, get new ideas and also to schedule our vacations around this date.
The purpose of the Festival is to have fun and build up parish
spirit. The money we make is a bonus. So lets focus on participation and the
enjoyment of working with each other and supporting your parish activities.
Congratulations
Woody and Betty Hill, long time parishioners of St. Joseph
celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 26, 2007. They now live at St. Joe
Manor. If you are at the Manor, please stop by and congratulate them on their many happy
years together.
Join Us for the Rosary
The Blessed Mother is still calling out to all of us. Please pray
for WORLD PEACE. Praying the rosary is very important now, more than ever before. Consider
the incidents in England last week!! Insistent prayer to the Mother of God is based on
confidence that her maternal intercession can obtain all things from the heart of her Son.
You are welcome to join us and pray for WORLD PEACE after Mass on Thursday and Friday
mornings.
Our Lady Sodality
Our next regular meeting will be Tuesday, July 10th at noon. We
will meet in the church hall. Please bring a brown bag lunch. Dessert and drinks will be
provided.
The school is in need of a statue of the Blessed Mother. We have
agreed to help purchase this statue. We will have a "BAKE SALE" on the weekend
of July 14 & 15th to raise the money for the statue.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
Bingo News !! .
St. Joseph Parish Bingo has given a check in the amount of
$10,000.00 to the parish. The total amount given to the parish that is used to help defray
the cost of operation for St. Joseph School is $37,000.00. This amount was given during
the last fiscal year July 1, 2006 June 30, 2007.
Thank you to all who work and those who support the Parish Bingo.
We have four teams working the Bingo. The Knights of Columbus, St. Anne Parish, St. Joseph
Parish and the Home and School Association. We could always use some extra help. People
are taking vacations, health changes and some just get tired and must move on etc. If you
can help with the Bingo please contact the Parish Office.
