PILGRIMAGE TO NATIONAL SHRINE OF ST. THERESA
Come join your fellow Catholics on a two-day
pilgrimage to the NATIONAL
SHRINE OF ST. THERESA in Darien, Il., October 8-9, 2006.
Although it is several months away, you should
make your reservations now to be assured of a place on this pilgrimage. This is a first-come, first-go pilgrimage. Space is limited; a deposit is required.
The Shrine has the largest and most revealing
collection of relics of the Little Flower anywhere outside Lisieux, France. Among the items in the collection are an original
portrait by her sister Celine, original letters in Thereses hand, and a small
wicker-bottom chair in which she sat in her cell at the Carmel.
Fr. Larry Herzog, pastor of Little Flower
Parish, will be our chaplain.
To make your reservation, phone Marie or Tom at EMMAUS ROAD PILGRIMAGES:
314-238-4781 OR Toll Free, 1-888-900-4781. You
dont want to miss this one.

GODS
LIFESAVERS
Is Gods
LifeSavers against science employed in modern technology to improve peoples lives?
No, not is used in such a manner that does not
harm another human life. It is God Himself Who is the Author of all pure science (i.e.,
biology Gen. 1:11, 12, 22, 24-26).
Isnt the
information which an organization like yours distributes slanted?
No, quite the opposite. Typically the general information made public in
support of abortion, embryonic stem-cell research, euthanasia, etc. is itself completely
slanted. This is in part due to the large
amounts of money these activities bring I each year.
Also at issue is the modern, and medically faulty, definition of life.
Trinity Lutheran, (Fredericktown), Trinity
Lutheran, (Park Hills), and Immaculate Conception, (Park Hills) met June 12, to discuss
our coordinated efforts to work for Pro-life issues as committed Christians. Other churches have been invited to be a part of
these efforts. The group chose Gods
lifesavers as a name to show representation of churches in our area. Please pray for the success of our efforts to get
out the pro0life message. Your support is
greatly appreciated.
Thanks, again, to all who contributed to the
diaper drive. At next months
meeting we will count all churches contributions and deliver diapers to the pregnancy
Resource Center in Farmington.
HOME & SCHOOL AUCTION
The Annual St. Joseph School Dinner Auction
sponsored by the Home and School (parents of the students) was another successful event. The parents worked hard to provide us with an
evening of entertainment; nice things to buy and a delicious dinner. Total proceeds this year were $11,837.34. After all the expenses were paid they presented a
check for $10,000.00 to St. Joseph to the parish. We appreciate all those who supported
the Auction in any way. Because of your support and loyalty the Auction was a big
success! Thank you! Thank you! Congratulations on a job well done!!
