Prayer for Fathers
Dear God,
You have given fathers the task of raising their children to
holiness.
You chose Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as fathers of your holy nation of Israel.
Despite their failings, weaknesses and poor choices,You made of them a great and
long-lasting nation.
And when the time came for your Son to enter this world,
You chose a holy man named Joseph as his father As our Heavenly Father,You have seen us,
your children, make both wise and poor choices.Give us grace to be faithful to you,
despite our failings, and help us to be fathers to our children as you have been to us.
Amen.
A special blessing for fathers will be given at all the Masses
this weekend.
Father John, Father Ray, Deacon Don and all of the staff would
like to wish each gentleman a Happy Fathers Day. Please enjoy the weekend.
