MEA CULPA
Last week I ran an article in the bulletin thanking everyone that make
sacrifices to help St. Joseph School. I did my best to remember each and every group. A
kind lady reminded me Sunday that I had left out one of the most hard working groups that
are a part of St. Joseph and St. Anne Parishes. The Knights of Columbus cannot be
forgotten for all their work at the annual Fish Fry and their night at the Bingo game. To
each of the great Knights and to their Ladies, I apologize. Each of you will be remembered
in a special way in my prayers this coming week..
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Father John

ST. ANNE PARISH,
French Village, Mo.The food was delicious and everyone had a
good time. Our PICNIC was another great success. I would like to thank all the
workers and their families and the friends from St. Joseph that showed up to help.
The Bingo was again another big contributor to the success and Ron &
Shirley Byington, and their workers did an outstanding job. Ron & Shirley would like
to thank all the Parishioners who donated the beautiful quilts.
Winners of the raffle have been notified and most have received their prizes.
First prize of $1000.00 went to Millie Harris of Valles Mines, the second prize of $100.00
was won by Dan Gillyon of St. Louis, the TV was won by Clifford Sewald, the chair was won
by Fred Hahn and the Quilt was won by Cathy Lincoln. Congratulations to all the winners
and to the many people who helped support the raffle. You are all winners.
I would like to thank the many people who attended our PICNIC, those that come every
year and those that were here for the first time. I hope you enjoyed yourself and look
forward to seeing you next year.
God Bless,
Father John

Pledge Card Sign ups for the ADA have been conducted over the past few weeks in
our Parish. We are now in the follow up stage of the Appeal. I urge everyone who has not
yet made a pledge to the ADA to either call the Parish Office at 358-2112 to make
arrangements to complete your card or make your pledge over the phone.
If every registered household in our Parish participates, it will help the
Archdiocese reach its goal of 100% participation, but more importantly it will assist so
many individuals and families in need in the community. Your participation also reflects a
powerful statement of support for your Parish Priest. Through the ADA, we unite with all
Catholics throughout the Archdiocese in a common mission of service.
When considering your pledge to the ADA, keep in mind that all contributions to
the ADA have already been designated and are restricted for Education, Pastoral Programs,
Charitable Services and ministries that assist our parishes and people throughout the
entire Archdiocese of St. Louis. Details on the grants are outlined in the brochure, which
was mailed to each Catholic household.
