Please Remember
It has long been a policy that in order to meet the printing
deadline all articles that you wish to have placed in the bulletin must be in the office
by noon on Monday. The summer is an especially busy time. If you cannot make it by the
office on Monday morning with your article, you can place it in the collection basket or
drop it off anytime over the weekend. Articles will not be taken over the phone. If you do
not see your article in the bulletin, please understand we make every effort to print your
article. If the bulletin is completed, we cannot change or miss this deadline. As always
your help is appreciated.

journey through life.
A Pray for Literacy Day
The way so many can read in our culture today is an amazing
innovation in the worlds history. And while it has led to much misuse, we have
advanced as no culture has before. We can transmit knowledge to many future generations
without relying on oral storytellers Yet what a tragedy it would be, if we only read about
technology, or sports, or novels.
We have the Bible, Lives of Saints, writings of the Church
Fathers, all at our fingertips as never before So on Literacy Day, may God remind us that
gifts such as reading are not only meantfor learning math and science, or for
entertainment but also as a means to draw closer to God.
Daughters of Isabella

us for the praying of the rosary at 6:45pm. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00pm.

Attention EWTN
A generous donor has purchased an ad on the back of the
bulletin to make us aware of the Global Catholic Network. There are brochures in the back
of church to make you aware of their activities.
Enclosed in the bulletin this is week are program highlights for
the month of June.
Social communications, i.e. radio and television because of the
enormous influence on the masses, has become a valuable tool for evangelization and your
cable or satellite provider will help you keep informed of what is happening in the world
Catholic.
Please spread the word about Catholic media.
Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to
the whole creation (Mark 16:15)
Thats what Mother Angelica did when she took Christs
commandment to heart. It began in 1981 when she stepped out in faith and transformed the
garage of her Poor Clare monastery in Irondale, Alabama, into a television studio
the unlikely beginnings of the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN).
Through Gods Divine Providence and the generous supporters
of EWTNs apostolic work with their prayers and donations, this humble beginning of
1981 has become the worlds largest Catholic media network.
