The special collection at Masses this weekend will be for Cardinal
Glennon Childrens Medical Center. Cardinal Glennon, the only free standing Catholic
pediatric hospital in the country, has been treating children for fifty-two years under
the mission of never turning a child away. Your generosity is important for the hospital
to continue this mission. Please give to the children by making a donation to the

FRENCH VILLAGE,MO.
St. Anne is hosting their annual picnic and 180th year celebration
today, June 8, activities will begin at 11:00 a.m. Come and have some fun; there will be
games for all ages, a live band, and a raffle with the first prize of $1,000.00 cash. To
top it all off end your day with a wonderful Kettle Beef and Fried Chicken dinner with all
the trimmings. Hope to see you there.

To those who donated literature, lifesavers, ink pens, bookmarks,
yarn, pencils, plastic bags, magnets, storage boxes, balloons, helium, bumper stickers,
precious feet pins, and literature. To those who ordered, printed, folder and stuffed

at the Gods Lifesavers Pro- Life booth at the Azalea Festival distributing Pro-Life
packets and Pro-life balloons.
Adopt an Angel News
A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the adopt an
angel program. A total of $2,900.00 has been designated towards nine school families
tuition.
Your support has made it possible for some children to attend St.
Joseph Catholic Elementary School who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so.

St. Monicas Young Adults Coffee House
Join other young adults (21- 40 + years old) for a
relaxing evening with a variety of desserts and coffees. Bring a friend and be prepared
for a fun evening of friends, reflection, and discussions. Generally 3rd Friday of the

Schedules are being prepared, packets are stuffed, and everything
is falling into place for upcoming festivals. If you have not scheduled a time to work in

Diaper Shower
Gods lifesavers are sponsoring a diaper shower and will be
collecting disposable diapers of any size. Diapers will be donated to various agencies in
St. Francois County where they can be distributed to families in need.
Vincentain Marian Youth
Sunday evening June 8, 2008, is the date for the Vincentain Marian
Youth Encounter at the Shrine Church in Perryville, MO. The evenings will start with Faith
Alive at 6:00 p.m.

Historic Ste. Genevieve, MO invites all of its parish friends to
our Fifth Annual Antique Show and Sale at its beautiful circa 1912 Knights of Columbus
Home. Antiques will fill both first and second floors of the old mansion and even
overflow onto its spacious lawn. Entrance is $4.00 for Saturday, June 14 (10:00- 5:00) and
Sunday, June 15 (11:00- 4:00) one fee for the whole weekend. Your tickets also make
you eligible for daily antique door prizes. Our Knights will have their wonderful food
available with dining on the wide front porch overlooking the big front lawn. On Saturday,
other French Heritage Day activities will be going on in our historic downtown with lovely
shops, historic homes, B&Bs, and restaurants.
