vacancies. Please help if you can. Also, dont forget to invite your friends, family
etc. from other areas to come and enjoy our delicious dinner. The more the better!! Please
sell your tickets for the Big Raffle. More tickets are available. Bingo is always fun, and
we will have sandwiches for those who cannot leave their Bingo cards. Most of all we need

ST. ANNE CHURCH
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.
Please note the gift bearer list in the back of the
church for each Sundays assignment.
The recent Pot Luck dinner was a real success--over 40 attendees.
There were some inquiries on cemetery lots. Anyone interested,
please call Janet Mecey (358-0684).
Our Lady Sodality
Our Lady Sodality will meet at St. Anne on Tuesday, May 15. Chili
will be provided along with drinks. Rosary and prayer service will start at noon.
Mothers Day Cards
Birthright of Hillsboro is conducting their annual fundraising by
selling Mothers Day cards. A few are available on the table in the back of the
church if you are interested in supporting the good works of this organization.
Catholic Home Missions
Todays second collection is the Catholic Home Missions
Appeal. It supports missions here in the United States. There are many places in America
Appalachia, the Deep South, the Southwest, the Rocky Mountains states where
the Catholic Church struggles just to keep parishes open and to educate children in the
faith.
Last year, Home Missions gave more than
$3 million to dioceses along the Gulf Coast devastated by
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Please God, there will be no repetition of these disasters.
But Catholic parishes in rural America still struggle to offer Mass, the sacraments, and
religious education. Some dioceses are terribly short of priests, sisters, and the money
needed to run parishes. Please give generously to help your fellow Catholics here in
America.
Gods Lifesavers
Gods Lifesavers is sponsoring a Diaper Drive and will be
collecting disposable diapers of any size from Mothers Day, (May 13th) thru
Fathers Day, (June 17th). Several agencies in our area, including Birthright in
Hillsboro, will be recipients of the donated diapers. These agencies will distribute them
to families in need. Boxes are provided at the church entrances at
St. Joseph and St. Anne Parishes for your donations. Thank you for
your generous support.
Congratulations
On May 11, 1968, our pastor Father John was ordained by the then
Archbishop Joseph Carberry. This year Father John is celebrating 39 years of service to
the Church. Let us rejoice and be glad!

Beatitudes
for
Women
Blessed is she who suffers with the very young, the very old, and the very lonely, for she has
compassion.
Blessed is she who greets the world with joy, laughter, and
anticipation, for she has courage.
Blessed is she who speaks gently, lives humbly, and chooses to give
freely, for she has dignity.
Blessed is she who listen and hears and extends her hands as a friend,
for she has understanding.
Blessed is she who gives simply, loves deeply, and walks joyfully in
life, for she has sincerity.
Blessed is she who lives intensely and sings lifes alleluias, for
she has awareness.
Blessed is she who has compassion and courage, freedom and dignity,
understanding, sincerity, and awareness, for she is a woman, a gift, a blessing.
(Newark Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women)
