On behalf of the Monsignor Joseph A. Mancuso Knights of
Columbus Catholic Education Fund I am happy to announce that St. Joseph School will
receive a grant of $500.00 sometime between July 1 and July 15, 2007 for the school year
2007-2008. It has been decided that these funds will be used to purchase new religion
textbooks for the school year 2007-2008. Once again we have been blessed. Thank you to all

Mother’s Day Cards
Mother’s Day is May 13th. What are you planning to
do for your mother? Birthright of Hillsboro is holding their Mother’s Day Card
fundraising project again this year. Consider honoring your mother or other special women
in your life while supporting Birthright at the same time. Birthright offers free,
confidential help in our community and is in need of funds to continue the work of saving
unborn lives and easing the burdens of those faced with untimely pregnancy. Mother’s
Day Cards can be picked up in the back of church. A table has been set up for your
convenience. A letter of explanation and an envelope for sending your donation to
Birthright of Hillsboro is included with each card. Please do not leave your monetary
donation at the church.
Annual Catholic Appeal
Please welcome Mrs. Christinia Heddell of the Respect Life
Apostolate, Archdiocese of St. Louis. She is married and is an active member of
St. Ambrose Parish. Mrs. Heddell will speak to us about the ACA at
all the Masses this weekend.
St. Joseph Parish and St. Joseph School has been the benefactor of
the ACA. Please take a few minutes and go downstairs and sign your pledge card.

Adoration of the
Blessed Sacrament
The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed this Friday, May 4 from
8:30am until 5:00pm. Benediction will follow. If you haven’t celebrated this
time-honored tradition in a while here are some suggestions: Pray
with the Sacred Scriptures – Pray the Rosary. Above all, try to spend at least
twenty minutes in silent recognition of Jesus.
