Picnic - 2009
Thank you to all who have donated toward the Country Store/Fancy
Stand. We are still in need of donations.
Feast of Divine Mercy
Pope John Paul II declared today Divine Mercy Sunday in the year 2000. He
instituted a plenary indulgence for those who participate in this devotion. To receive the
graces of the plenary indulgence on Divine Mercy Sunday, the faithful must receive the
Sacrament of Reconciliation on or before Divine Mercy Sunday; receive a worthy Communion;
and pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and be merciful toward others through words, actions and
prayers.
St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Missouri will celebrate
Divine Mercy Sunday today. Adoration and confessions are scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
and conclude with Mass at 3:00 p.m.
"Fireproof"
Immaculate Conception will host a movie night featuring "Fireproof Never
Leave Your Partner Behind" at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22nd. All families are
invited to come and enjoy this excellent film that makes marriage-commitment real and
attainable with Christs grace. Please call 573-431-2427 for details.
Run for the Roses!
Our Ladys Inn is hosting a Kentucky Derby Party Fundraiser on May 2nd at 3:00

the Rice Bowl project this Lent in the amount of $315.25. We thank everyone who
contributed to this worthy cause, which helps those in need.
Welcome!
Let us welcome into our parish family the members of the RCIA who
completed their preparation for the Paschal Feast at the Easter Vigil: Matthew Farr, Lynda
Chand, Frederick Gower, and Karen Schnurbusch. May God continue to bless them on their
spiritual journey of faith.
Mothers Day Cards
Mothers Day is May 10th. Birthright of Hillsboro is holding their Mothers
Day Card fundraising project again this year. Consider honoring your mother or other
special women in your life while supporting Birthright at the same time. Birthright offers
free, confidential help in our community and is in need of funds to continue the work of
saving unborn lives and easing the burdens of those faced with untimely pregnancy.
Mothers Day Cards may be picked up at the table in the back of Church or at the
Parish Office.
St. Joseph Cemetery
Please remember that all decorations must be removed from
gravesites at St. Joseph Cemetery in order for the maintenance crew to "Keep Our
Cemetery Beautiful". The general rule is "nothing on the ground". You may
place decorations on the monument as long as they dont interfere with grave
maintenance. No glass or metal containers are allowed in the cemetery. The exception to
the rule is that on the holidays of Memorial Day,
July 4th, and Labor Day decorations may be placed on the graves and
left there for a period of one week after the holiday.
St. Paul Media Scholarship
A scholarship fund of $1,500 has been established to recognize a
high school student who embodies the spirit of St. Paul. Any current Catholic high school
student may apply for this scholarship by preparing a multi-media presentation (such as a:
movie, music video, podcast, website, etc.) which shows how they are able to evangelize
within the culture of communications. For details, please call 314-965-3512.
