Mark your calendar! The schools Spring Wine
Tasting and Silent Auction Fundraiser has been set for Saturday, May 1, 2010. We are
currently accepting any and all donations. Our basket drive was a huge success last year
and we would like to continue it this year, so if you have any extra baskets at home that
you would like to donate to a good cause, please bring them to the school or the Church
gift shop. If you have any questions about the event or donations or need assistance,
please call the school at 358-5947. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there!
St. Joseph Gift Shop
The Gift Shop is open every Sunday before and after the
10:00 a.m. Mass. First Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, April 18, 2010. This year
our children will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Basilica. Stop by for that

Food For The Poor
Please join us this weekend in welcoming the Rev. Glen
P. Baptiste, C.R. who will speak about a ministry which provides direct relief to the poor
throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
He will share what he has witnessed about Food For the
Poors mission to feed the hungry, build water wells for thirsty villages, build
houses for the homeless, aid the impoverished elderly, raise orphans in a loving
atmosphere of Christian discipline, and provide health care for the sick.

You may now request a prayer through the Archdiocese of
St. Louis website. Your intention will be remembered in the daily prayers of about 100
contemplative nuns living in 7 monasteries in the Archdiocese of St. Louis and in one
monastery in the neighboring Diocese of Belleville, Illinois. You may submit your prayer

Grant & Aid Application
The FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment applications are
available at the school office. These grants help with the cost of school tuition for the
school year beginning Fall 2010. Any family wishing to apply for this grant should pick up
an application or apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com.
The deadline for application is April 1, 2010.
Lenten Reflections
What is Lent about? Lent is about making a difference in our lives and in the
lives of others. We can take time this week to offer a warm smile, a friendly word, or a
helping hand. Look for opportunities to offer loving, unselfish service to others. Be
positive make a difference.
Donut Sunday
We invite you to come and enjoy fellowship with your Church family this
morning, along with the coffee, donuts and orange juice.
Scrapbooking Classes
A workshop and free scrapbooking classes will be
offered for beginners and the more advanced on the second Wednesday of every month
starting on March 10, 2010. These classes will be hosted by Jennifer Hopfinger, Creative
Memories Consultant, and will be held in the Church Hall between the hours of 9:00 a.m.
and 12:00 p.m. (noon).
Catholic Relief Services
Next week, our parish will
take up The Catholic Relief Services Collection. This collection helps to fund six
Catholic organizations that improve the quality of life and protect human dignity. Your
gift will support agricultural development to strengthen economies and create food
sustainability, provide outreach services to survivors of human trafficking, and supply
pastoral care and advocacy for immi-grants and refugees. By helping the marginalized and
impoverished, you give hope to Jesus in disguise. Please be charitable in next weeks
Catholic Relief Services Collection.
Daughters of Isabella
Our next meeting will be held Monday, March 8th, at 7:00 p.m. It
is time to start gathering items for our Rummage Sale which will be held on Saturday,
April 10, 2010.
