Have you been enjoying a delicious fish dinner on Friday evening?
The Knights of Columbus, St. Francois Council 1088 serve up a
dinner of Fish (four different kinds), plus Three Sides, Bread, Dessert, Coffee, Tea and
Lemonade. The price is only $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Carryout is
available. Serving begins at 4:00pm.

St. Joseph Festival 2008
Please mark your calendar for September 21, 2008. Start asking
your friends and family to come and join you at the St. Joseph Festival.
We offer Quilt Bingo, Games of Chance, a Wonderful Wreath Booth,
Country Store and much more. The food will be our ever poplar delicious Fried Chicken,
Kettle Beef and all the trimmings.

ST. ANNE CHURCH
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.
The outside statue of St. Joseph has mysteriously disappeared. We
are in the process of replacing it.
Flowers that were placed on grace sites have blown across the
street and elsewhere due to high winds. Please secure them back on the grave if possible
or please remove them.
The SVDP has had a successful can collection at St. Joseph. They
are asking the members of St. Anne to participate. Please place your cans in the box
provided at the basement door.
Our Lady Sodality
Baked goodies and other items of interest will be available for
purchase on Saturday, March 8, 2008 beginning at 8:00am at St. Joseph Church Hall.
Starting at 3:30pm join us for a delicious Chili and Homemade Dessert Supper. If you
missed us on Saturday come downstairs on Sunday.
Ladies please pick up your copy of the minutes from the last
meeting. They have been placed on the small table outside the office door.
Ladies that are attending the luncheon provided by the "Women
of Mary" of St. Joseph Church in Farmington please come to the meeting room at
11:15am on Wednesday, March 5, 2008. We will car pool.

To obtain tuition assistance from the Archdiocese please pick up a
"FACTS" application from the Parish Office. The due date for the application is
April 1, 2008 and must include a copy of your 2007 Income Tax Return.

Eucharistic Adoration
Devotion begins with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on
Friday, March 7, 2008 at 8:30am. Benediction will begin at 5:00pm.
Rite Of Christian
Initiation of Adults
The scrutinies are solemnly celebrated on the Sundays of Lent.
They are rites of self-searching and repentance and have above all a spiritual purpose.
The scrutinies are meant to uncover then heal all that is weak, defective, or sinful in
the hearts of the elect; to bring out, then strengthen all that is upright, strong, and
good. The scrutinies are celebrated in order to deliver the elect from the power of sin
and Satan, to protect them from temptation, and to give them strength in Christ, who is
the way, the truth, and the life. These rites, therefore, should complete the conversion
of the elect and deepen their resolve to hold fast to Christ and to carry out their
decision to love God above all.
The elect are dismissed from Mass after the homily and will go to
an "out of the way place" to discuss and renew after a special blessing by the
celebrant from all of you. Please pray for them.
Rosary Schedule
During Lent the Rosary will be recited at St. Joseph every
Thursday morning at 8:30am. St. Anne will recite the Rosary every Thursday morning at
8:30am. Please try to take advantage of this opportunity to pray for world peace.
World Day of Prayer
All women of St. Joseph/St. Anne are invited to attend and
participate in the annual "World Day of Prayer" on March 7, 2008. The Worship
Service will begin at 1:00pm.
The First Congregational United Church of Christ located at 20
Church St., Bonne Terre, Mo. is hosting "The World Day of Prayer"
The women of Guyana have prepared this year’s worship for us.
There are beautiful slides and well-known songs that will enhance our worship experience.
Plan to stay afterwards to share refreshments and fellowship.
