Heb. 6:10
In anticipation of the sad anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the
Archdiocesan community is being asked to "make a
difference" by participating in the LifeLine
Coalition campaign. This initiative offers each one of us the opportunity to act in
a very real and positive way to support those in need. Those mothers who are experiencing
unplanned or crisis pregnancies. Through our own work and love, we can all make a
difference in their lives by providing them the means to choose life. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE with your caring support that will
help those in distress. The LIFELINE COALITION 2003
campaign responds to the call of Pope John Paul II by offering positive and real
alternatives to assist women who are experiencing a crisis or unplanned pregnancy, to
choose life. Next Sunday we will have a special collection for LIFELINE
COALITION. Envelopes will be in the pews. Please make a
difference with your generous support.
The Daughters of Isabella will hold their regular meeting on
February 10th . Dinner will be served at 6:00p.m. We are delighted to welcome
Pat Gebken, State Regent who will be visiting us. Please come and join us for a delicious
meal and meeting.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
Aacceptance is the answer to all my problems. When I am
disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation some fact
of my life unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that
person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this
moment.
Nothing, absolutely nothing happens in Gods world by
mistake. Unless I accept life completely on lifes terms, I cannot be happy. I need
to concentrate not so must on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be
changed in me and in my attitudes.
RECYCLED CARTRIDGE PROGRAM
Many schools including St. Joseph are engaged in a program that concerns the recycling
of all types of printer cartridges. Please start saving your used cartridges. A local
company will pick them up and compensate the school. A clear plastic container has been
placed in the in the back of church. Thank you.
Dear Friends in Christ,
The devastating legacy of communism still lingers in Central and
Eastern Europe. While independence has returned and nations have restored their
sovereignty, the damage of more that 40 years of atheistic communism remain, leaving for
the people significant challengers to sustain life and their faith.
The special Collections to Aid the Church
in Central and Eastern Europe works to give hope to these people by supporting
religious education programs, training for seminarians, expanding social ministries to
those in need, and rebuilding ruined churches, convents and schools.
On the weekend of February 8 and 9 the Collection for Aid to the
Church in Central and Eastern Europe will be taken up in your parish. Because the needs
are still to great, I would ask you to assist generously our brothers and sisters in these
countries.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Justin Rigali
Archbishop of St. Louis
