The Financial Statements are complete. If you
are itemizing deductions for your taxes or if you would like a copy of your charitable
donations to the Parish, please contact the Rectory before February 15th and a
copy will be prepared for you. You will then be able to pick up the Statement at your
earliest convenience. Parish Family Records will be updated on Monday, February 18th
and we will not be able to generate Statements for the previous year. This is a change
from past procedures, because this will save significant time and expense to the Parish.
As always our books are open to your perusal.
Father John PRAY FOR THE SICK Please remember in your daily prayers the orphans, all the widows and widowers that must live their lives alone, the young and old that suffer from substance abuse, vocations to the priesthood and religious life and especially Connie Westendorf, mother of Gretchen Pratte. GODS MERCIFUL LOVE LENTEN PROGRAM TO BEGIN SOON It is through the Sacrament of Reconciliation that we find healing and pardon for our sins and experience a renewed reconciliation with God and neighbor. Gods Merciful Love is a six-session adult religious education and faith formation program designed to help us deepen our appreciation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We invite you to join a small group of adults for prayer, study, reflection, and faith sharing on this sacrament of Gods love and mercy. We encourage all the adults and young adults of our parish to rediscover this true treasure of our faith. Weekly sessions will focus on sin and conversion, conscience and virtue, contrition, confession and forgiveness, receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the mercy of God. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION WHAT IS ADORATION? Outside of the Mass, we can also adore Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist, every time we visit his sacramental presence reserved in a tabernacle or visibly displayed in a monstrance. ADORATION IS AN ATTITUDE: "To adore God is to acknowledge him as God, as the Creator and Savior, the Lord and Master of everything that exists to acknowledge the nothingness of the creature who would not exist but for God." The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed this coming Friday, February 1, from 8:00a.m. until 5:00p.m. Benediction will follow. Please come and give some time to God.
Keep in mind, our Festival will be June 23rd. Mark your calendar! We are looking for a theme for our Festival and we would like suggestions from you, the Parish. We would like your suggestions to reflect the idea of "Unity" among family, church, country, etc. Please drop your suggestion in the boxes provided in Church. The final decision will be made by the 1st of March and a $20.00 gift certificate that can be used at the Festival will be given to the lucky winner. Gift certificates are a new idea this year. If you cant be here to celebrate the day but would like to give someone a nice gift and contribute early to the Festival, purchase a gift certificate in any denomination. It can be used anywhere that day. Pick one up at the Rectory.
