PRO LIFE

Joy should arise from the birth of every baby that is born (John 16:21), so that he is received with love and preparations made for the possibility of his growth in body and spirit. In this way, one cooperates in the very work of Christ, who defined his mission thus: "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10) These words have been taken from remarks made by Pope John Paul II at a general audience on January 24, 2001.

Thank you to the people that came downstairs to sign up to work at our Festival. More workers are still needed so if you can help in any way, please call Alice Lindsey at 358-8974.

Mary Ann Mauller has agreed to chair our Plant Stand this year. Anyone who would like to donate plants can bring them to the pavilion on Saturday, August 4th. As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

AROUND TOWN

The Bonne Terre Library invites you to attend their "SATURDAY IN THE PARK".Many actitivies will take place throughout the day including: Games, Refreshments, Entertainment for everyone and a Pet Show. This fun event will begin on Saturday, July 28th. at 10:00am and will conclude at 5:00pm. Everyone is invited to participate in an exciting Family Fun Walk that will begin at 8:30am at the Library. Then its off to the Bonne Terre Park for a fun filled day! All proceeds will benefit the Bonne Terre Library.

FRIENDLY REMINDER

Decorations may be placed on the graves for Memorial Day, July 4th. and Labor Day. The decorations can be left on the graves for a period of one week after each holiday. All of the decorations, left on the grave sites after the allotted time will be removed by the maintenance crew. Then the men will be able to keep the grass mowed and trimmed. You may place decorations on the monument or at the base of the monument so long as they do not interfere with the grave maintenance. Please remember that glass or metal containers are not allowed on the grounds. We have a beautiful cemetery at St. Joseph, so lets all work together to keep it something that makes us proud.
