Catholic Charities has been serving the
poor, needy and those at-risk since 1912. The
needs have changed… the faces are different… but the way we reach out to our
brothers and sisters is the same- as if each one is Jesus Christ Himself.
Our work is more that providing
emergency services… it’s about long term solutions, stabilizing families and
making a difference in the lives of the more that 111,000 people.
Please
help with a donation to the Catholic Charities Christmas Appeal 2004. Mail your contribution to: Catholic Charities,
P.O. Box 952393, St. Louis, Missouri 63195-2393; or call 314-367-5500. Ext. 137, for

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
Eucharistic Adoration is offered to the
members of our Parish every Friday from 4:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. with recitation of the rosary

For over 100 years, the Archdiocese of St.
Louis has been blessed to have our own seminary for the
training of future priests. Today 18
other dioceses are sending seminarians to Kenrick-Glennon Seminary for their priestly
formation. Help keep our seminary strong as
it prepares priests for the third millennium. Please
pray for vocation, and please be generous when giving to the Christmas Collection for the
Seminary.
Wednesday, December 8th. is the
Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a Holy day of Obligation. Masses at St. Joseph will be at 8:00a.m. and
5:00p.m. Mass at St. Anne will be at 6:30p.m.
The Religious Articles shop has several
Christmas Books now available. These are good
books and would make excellent Christmas gifts.
The Shop will be open before and after the Saturday evening Mass or you may call
the Rectory at 358-2112.
“Let us then throw off the works of darkness and put on the
armor of light; let us conduct ourselves properly as in the day, not in orgies and
drunkenness, not in promiscuity and lust, not in rivalry and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no
provision for the desires of the flesh” ROMANS
13:12-14 For anyone striving to live a life of stewardship, jealousy may well be the most
difficult vice for us to overcome. We see the
good things that our neighbors have and it becomes quite inconvenient to remember that
Christ calls us to give the first share of all we have to God. Yet giving into our jealously can begin an
addictive yearning for more that will never be satisfied. Only God can satisfy us.
