Many of you have blessed us over the years and have contributed to
our shared Gospel mission. We want to thank you and invite you to share our celebration of
Christ the King on His feast day. It is our 65th anniversary, and the 50th anniversary of
Miss Natalie’s consecration by perpetual vow. We’ll begin with the 10:30am Mass
at St. Joachim’s in Old Mines on Sunday, November 25, 2007. Afterward, join us for
the reception. We will celebrate with food and fun until 4:00pm. Please come to the St.
Michael House. We are located at the junction of Highway 21 and CC, across from Washington
State Park. We are six miles north of S. Joachim Catholic Church and ten miles south of

First Reconciliation
Parent’s Meeting
On Monday, November 26, 2007 at 7:00pm there will be a meeting for
the parents of all young people making their first confession. Please come to the parish
meeting room. The celebration of First Reconciliation will be held on Tuesday, January 8,
2008 at 6:00pm.
Teen Bible Study
The next "Teen Bible Study" meeting will be held on
Sunday, December 16 after the 10:00am Mass. An activity will be held in conjunction with
the bible study. If you are a new attendee please call Gretchen Pratte at 573-358-5876. It
is necessary that you call so we can have a booklet for you.
Catholic Campaign for Human
Development
THANK YOU! The national and diocesan offices of the Catholic
Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) wish to extend their thank you to our parishioners
who generously contributed to the CCHD Collection. Please continue to pray for our sisters
and brothers living below the poverty line and for community groups working to make
long-term change.
Giving Tree
The "Giving Tree" ornaments are available this weekend
for pickup. Please place your gift/gifts under the tree in the front of the St. Joseph
altar by December16, 2007. By choosing an ornament you can provide a special Christmas
wish to a boy or girl in our area that may not have received a gift at all.

The Season of Advent begins on Sunday, December 2, 2007. This year
pamphlets called "How to Celebrate Advent" are being provided for your use.
Advent is the season in which we prepare for the great celebration of Jesus’ birth at
Christmas. This pamphlet walks us through Advent week by week.
Pressure to "celebrate" Christmas according to the norms
of the secular culture can be enormous. Christmas is all but empty if we have not really
let our hearts be formed by the profound realities of waiting, expectation, repentance,
and hope.
We have a limited number so please pick up your copy this weekend
in the back of church.
