Faith For the Future
Last week we were fortunate to have Kent Pollman speak to us about
his experience as a seminarian at Kenrick-Glennon.
This Faith for the Future campaign is about providing for these
seminarians who have a passion to serve Catholic families in our parishes for years and
decades to come. We care about the future of our families and we care about our faith. Let
us care for the blessing of these young men who will serve in our parishes and respond to
their need for a quality education.
Please stop by after the Masses this weekend and sign your pledge
card downstairs in the Church Hall.
Campaign for
Human Development
For nearly 40 years, the Catholic Campaign for Human
Development has embodied Catholic social teaching through pursuing justice and upholding
the dignity of the human person. As more people feel the weight of the economic crisis,
CCHD needs your support in next weeks collection more than ever. Thank you for your
generosity.
Knights of Columbus
The Knights will serve four kinds of fish, string beans, hush
puppies, French fries and cole slaw for your dining pleasure. The best homemade desserts
in Bonne Terre will complete the menu. Bring your family and friends and enjoy a great
meal at a great price this Friday, November 20, 2009. Serving starts at 4:00 p.m.
Flu Season
The flu season is upon us once again. One of the options in the
liturgy is to hold hands during the recitation of the Lords Prayer and to reach out
to one another at the Sign of Peace. We may want to reconsider that human contact for a
while. It is your option. May we have a healthy winter.
St. Joseph Gift Shop
The Gift Shop is open every Sunday before and after the 10:00 a.m.
Mass. Stop by for that special Christmas gift.
