Eighty-two percent (82%) of the St. Joseph Catholic Elementary kindergarten through fourth grade students scored average, above average, somewhat above average, well above average, or higher on the recent ITBS/CogAT test. This represents a percentile score across the nation. Well done, students!

Please welcome to our parish family Lee Marvin Bess, Christine Elizabeth Calvert, and Maggie Ann Portell. May God bless them on their pilgrimage of faith and may their parents continue to lead them and be a witness to God’s love.

All Saints

On Tuesday, November 13, St. Joseph will celebrate an annual Mass honoring all ex-service men and women. All present and former members of the branches of service are invited and urged to attend. Mass will be at 8:00a.m. and a special blessing will be extended to all who attend. A flag raising ceremony will be held at the school with our Knights of Columbus Honor Guard.

At the Masses next weekend, we will be asked to join in solidarity with the poor through the annual collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. For more than thirty years, CCHD has helped the Church to be a helping hand to poor and low-income people in our diocese and throughout the country. CCHD grants have supported self-help projects to provide affordable housing, create jobs, promote living wages, and improve communities. Help America’s 32 million poor break the cycle of poverty, not just for a day, but for a lifetime, by giving generously next weekend.

Just a reminder that the Boy Scout Food
Drive will conclude next Saturday
(November 17) when the food bags are
collected. Donated items will be used for the needy of our area. A special thanks to all who support this yearly project.

The next Parish Council meeting will be Tuesday, November 13th at 7:00P.M.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE SICK

As you say your daily prayers this week, please remember to pray for the elderly, the homebound, our parishioners in nursing homes, our men and women in the military, our President and our Government Leaders, peace throughout the world, and all the innocent people that have been affected by the attacks on America. Please pray especially for Irene Wilfong, Helen Sisson and Leona Reuter.
