MATTHEW 5-7: HOW
TO BE HAPPY
WEEK
3 BE LIKE YOUR FATHER
In the third week of our Scripture study
series, Jesus urges us to embrace Gods vision of right living and social justice and
to put our minds and hearts to the task of pursuing this vision. He bases his call to universal love on the example
of the Father. Jesus does not promise us that
love will make our enemies into friends. We
do not love others so that they will love us in return.
We love others because we have a duty to imitate our Father in heaven. Jesus tells us to be perfect as our heavenly
Father is perfect..
