As always your generous support is appreciated.

WORK IS NOT PUNISHMENT
"This human activity of cultivating and caring has a generic name: work.
It is not a punishment for a consequence of sin."
Stewardship: A Disciples Response
Every career, every job presents us with opportunities to serve as
Gods representatives. But when we speak of vocation, generally were talking
about a life role larger than our jobs. Our vocation is the way we serve God as disciples
in the world. Married couples have a vocation as one anothers spouse. Parents have a
vocation as a mother or a father. If our parents are living, we have a vocation as a son
or a daughter and maybe as a sister or a brother, aunt or uncle. Perhaps we have a
vocation as an artist, a musician, a gardener, a cook or a caretaker of animals
even though those occupations are not our careers.
What do you cultivate in your
life? Whom or what do you care for or about? Do you tend to think of work as punishment?
How might you change that attitude?
DAUGHTERS OF ISABELLA

Dont forget about the
"ANNUAL RUMMAGE SALE" next Saturday, November 11th 2006. They will
open for business at 7:00 a.m. If you have items to be donated for the sale, please bring
them to the rectory on Friday. The girls always have some good bargains so plan to stop
by.
