Holy Land Tour

Father Sigmund is planning a trip of a lifetime to the Holy Land. This 15-day pilgrimage will take place June 5-19, 2010, and will cost $3,050, with Mass celebrated at the holy sites. Father Sigmund will hold an information meeting at St. Francis Borgia Parish on Sunday, November 22, 2009,at 2 p.m. Please call 636-239-6701 for more info.

Donut Sunday

The new donuts are the best! A big thank you to Jean Smith who was able to find these delicious treats at "Donut Hog Bakery". We are grateful to Charles Pace who will be our new volunteer. We want to especially thank Paula Pace for the 20 plus years that she has helped to make our Donut Sundays possible. Our volunteers are a blessing for our Parish!

Little Rock Scripture Study


Little Rock Scripture Study will begin with “The Birth of Christ: The Infancy Narratives of Matthew and Luke”. This is a 4-week course. The books will be available to you but you will need your Bible. The first class is already filled. If you would like to be in the second session, please  call the rectory to reserve a spot. There is a $10 donation to cover the cost of three books.

Daughters of Isabella
Our Installation of Officers will be held this Sunday, November 1st at 1:00 p.m. All new officers should attend, if possible. All present members are invited to be there for support and to help with the Soup and Salad Luncheon which will follow the installation. Our guests will be the members from St. Rose of Lima in DeSoto.

Reminder! Don’t forget our Rummage Sale which will be held this Saturday, November 7th, in the Church Hall between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and
2:00 p.m. Help is needed to set up on Friday at noon, and also on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. for clean up. Please drop off rummage on Friday afternoon, or call Claudette at 358-7516 (evenings only) for an arranged pick up. All items are welcome!

Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 9, 2009, and will start with a potluck dinner at 6:00 p.m.

St. Vincent De Paul

St. Vincent De Paul will have a meeting on Monday, November 2, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in   St. Joseph’s meeting room.

Faith For the Future

Last week we talked about the urgent needs of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary that are being addressed through this campaign, including the Infrastructure, Faculty Offices, Student Rooms, Learning Resource Center/Library and the Endowment. In the near future, we will welcomea seminarian to our parish who will speak to us about his experience and passion to serve Catholic families in the years to come.

Retirement Fund for Religious
Your donation today to the Retirement Fund for Religious provides critical support to religious institutes in meeting the escalating costs of such basic necessities as prescription drugs and medical services. Please pray for all religious and give generously to today’s second collection.

Eucharistic Adoration
“The Eucharist is a priceless treasure: by not only celebrating it but also by praying before it outside of Mass we are enabled to make contact with the very wellspring of grace.” Pope John Paul II

The celebration of the Eucharistic Adoration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, November 6th, and conclude with the Benediction at 5:00 p.m. Please sign up for your time to be spent with the Lord.

Knights of Columbus
Come and enjoy our famous Chicken & Dumpling Dinner on Thursday, November 5th, at the Knights of Columbus Hall. These delicious dinners are all you can eat in house and serving will start at
3:30 p.m. and continue until 6:30 p.m. Come hungry!

Knights of Columbus
The Knights will host a Pork Sausage Dinner & Craft Fair on Sunday, November 15th, 11:00 a.m. –4:00 p.m. at the K of C Hall. The menu will feature pork sausage and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, dessert and a drink. Roast beef will be available. An adult dinner will cost $8.00 and children may eat for $4.00. Please call Rich at 358-2333 or Ron at
