WE BELIEVE IN GOD THE FATHER
WEEK 3 We Believe in One God,
the Father, the Almighty,
MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH

The God in whom we believe is an almightly God who cares for us with the tender love of a Father. The God who reveals himself
to us in power and majesty also reveals himself to us in gentle whispers we can hear only deep within our hearts.

Be sure to join your group for the third week of We Believe in God the Father.

The Daughters of Isabella will have their annual Rummage Sale this Saturday, November 2nd. The doors to the Church Hall will open at 6:00a.m. A Bake Sale, with lots of home baked goodies will also be offered. Fresh coffee will be available.

If you have anything that you would like to donate, please leave the items at the Church Hall and a member of the Daughters will mark it for the sale.

As someone once said "One man’s junk is another man’s treasure". Your support is greatly appreciated.

CATHOLIC JOB DESCRIPTION

No matter what our age or background, every Catholic is charged with three tasks. KNOW THE CATHOLIC FAITH. We can’t share it with others if we don’t know it ourselves. LIVE THE CATHOLIC FAITH. It should come with us when we leave home. SPREAD THE CATHOLIC FAITH. This is not just for bishops, priests, and religious. – it is for all Catholics.

If you would like to know more about your Catholic faith come and join the RCIA classes that are held on each and every Wednesday evening at 7:00p.m. in the Church Hall. The classes have just begun and will last until Easter.

ST. ANNE CHURCH,
FRENCH VILLAGE, MISSOURI

SUNDAY OCTOBER 27TH:

Have you heard that today is this year’s annual "HOG SHOOT". The SHOOT will begin at 11:00a.m. A delicious lunch of chili, hot dogs, desserts and drinks will be available.

All are welcome to come and try their luck!

DON’T FORGET !

Reset your clocks this weekend. Sunday, marks the end of daylight savings time. The winter schedule for the Saturday evening Mass will begin on November 2nd. Mass will be at 4:00p.m. Please mark your calendar!

The Religious Articles Gift Shop will be open before and after the Saturday evening Mass. Shop early for that special someone’s Christmas gift.

Immaculate Conception Church, Park Hills will have their annual Chicken and Dumplings Dinner on November 3rd from 11:00a.m. til 4:00p.m. A Bazaar featuring crafts, quilts and homemade items will be available. All are invited!

St. Rose of Lima Parish in DeSoto will host a fried chicken dinner on Sunday, November 3rd with serving from 11:00a.m. – 3:00p.m. in the school cafeteria. $7.00 for adults, $3.00 for children, 4 and under free. Carry-outs available

For several years, St. Joseph Parish has provided a luncheon for the bereaved members of our parishioners’ families, at the time of a funeral. We help the families come together over a family meal.

Luncheon committees are made up of a Chairman, Co-Chairman and approximately 20 members, all of whom are volunteers. The parish pays for the main dish and volunteers provide the rest of the meal, as well as serve the luncheon.

At present, we have five committees and each committee is used approximately 4-5- times a year. Death, illness or just plain exhaustion has eliminated a good number of our volunteers and we are looking for more support. If you can Chair a committee (telephone the other members, organize and plan the meal) or would like to volunteer to help on a committee, please contact the rectory (358-2112).

This is a service that is very much appreciated by our parish families and, with your support, a service that we can continue.
