Month of Mary

To pray the rosary is to hand over our burdens to the merciful hearts of Christ and His mother. It is natural to bring to this encounter with the sacred humanity of the Redeemer all the problems, anxieties, labors and endeavors which go to make up our lives. "Cast your burden on the Lord and He will sustain you" (Ps 55:23). Please join us on Thursday mornings after the 8:00 a.m. Mass or at 4:30 p.m. before the Saturday evening Mass and rediscover the rosary.

Faith For the Future

This weekend is the official kickoff of a very important effort that will strengthen our seminary for decades to come. The Archdiocese has embarked on a campaign to address the most urgent physical and financial needs of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. This is where our priests receive their education before being assigned to a parish. We have had an increase of 17 seminarians for our Archdiocese in just four years. While this is a tremendous blessing, the facility cannot fully accommodate these physical and educational needs. There will be a video this weekend which will more fully explain this important campaign.

Feast of All Souls

Monday, November 2, is the Feast of All Souls. This is the day that you can renew your loved ones membership in the Purgatorial Society. This November feast vividly reminds us of the rich reality known as the Communion of Saints. Just as we do that for each other when we are alive, we continue that bond and concern for each other even beyond death. Your loved ones will be remembered every time the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is celebrated for the Purgatorial Society. Please use the blue envelope provided in your packet or a butterfly envelope and mark it accordingly.
