WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

It’s not too late Week 1 begins this week

We invite all the adults and young adults of our parish to take part in We Believe in the Holy Spirit. We encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn, and to grow in your faith.

WEEK 1 WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Outpouring of the Spirit

Jesus Christ promised the Apostles the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, a promise that He fulfilled on Pentecost. The Church was born on Pentecost through this outpouring of the Spirit. The gift of the Holy Spirit ushered in a new era in the history of the Church, an era during which Christ continues to make present and communicate his work of salvation until He comes again. The coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost transformed the Apostles, sanctifying them and enabling them to give witness to the Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of the Holy Spirit at Baptism and at Confirmation continues to sanctify the Church for all time.

It is not to late to join a small group of parishioners to reflect on the presence and activity of the Holy Spirit in your own life, to grow in faith, and to meet some very nice people. As usual you can join Louise Sickman after mass on Tuesday morning in the Church Hall. We will also have a group meeting on Wednesday morning after mass in the Church. If you wish to participate privately in your home, you can pick up a book today.
