The ANNUAL HOG SHOOT is just two weeks away.  Men and women will be needed to work.  Please sell your Raffle Tickets and please invite your friends and family.  This is our last fundraiser for the year.  Lets all work together, have a good time and a successful EVENT!

A pair of glasses has been found and they are on the table in the back of Church.  To make it easy the basement will be open after Mass for anyone you needs to pick up their dishes.

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY

Next Sunday is World Mission Sunday, a day of prayer and sacrifice for the support of missionaries worldwide.  Please be generous in the special collection for this purpose.  The offerings of the faithful are sent to a fund of solidarity which is distributed in the name of His holiness, Pope Benedict XVI through the Society for the Propagation of the Faith to mission lands and missionaries worldwide.

GOOD NEWS! GOOD NEWS!

In a communication received from the Missouri Historical Society the Old Rectory building has been designated as a Historical Site.  Many questions had to be answered and many photos were submitted to seek qualification.  After acquisition of the building, and over a four year time frame it has been restored as near possible to its original state in 1885. The Historic Site designation is most appropriate to this unique old building that serves as a memorial to our parishioners of earlier years that did so much. What they have left to us is sometimes taken  for granted.  Let us never forget these wonderful parishioners!

OUR LADY SODALITY

The regular monthly meeting will be Tuesday, October 18, 2005 beginning at 6:30p.m.  Halloween is just around the corner so refreshments will be served and a prize awarded for the best costume.  Plans will be finalized for the Christmas Crafts, Candy and Cookie Sale and Thanksgiving Dinner.  This meeting we will have a speaker on “Our Blessed Mother”.  Hope to see you at the meeting!

STEWARDSHIP ALIVE!

“Then repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God”

                                ( MATTHEW 22:21)

It is good to remember that everything belongs to God.  We would have nothing if God had not given us the skills, talents land opportunities to accomplish what we accomplish.  Therefore, it is important for us to recognize that we have an obligation to return a portion of our gifts to God, for all gifts belong to him and come from Him.
