Dear brothers and sisters,
Once again I must compliment and thank you on the success of a job
well done. You came together from St. Anne and St. Joseph and even from outside the parish
to work for a common goal. The Fall Festival was a success. We saw some new faces and some
familiar ones. The chicken was delicious and we received more complements on the kettle
beef than ever before. Good job guys! The raffle gave the winner, Mr. Bill Block a total
of $662.00.God blessed us with decent weather and everyone had a good time. People on the
grounds told me that they enjoyed themselves more at St. Joseph and St. Anne than other
places and that the food was better.
An anonymous donor has given a check in the amount of $400.00 to
the Golf Tournament in honor of Monkey Pratte. This brings the grand total up to
$10,000.00. I am proud to be your pastor.
God bless,

DO YOU WANT A REFRESHER COURSE ABOUT YOUR FAITH? JOIN US!!!
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
This weekend, there will be a special collection for the formation
of permanent deacons in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. During formation, deacon candidates,
and later, permanent deacons offer their time, personal gifts and material goods to build
up the Church in the Archdiocese. Their service extends into many areas of parish life, as
they assist the pastors and the Archbishop in the apostolic work of the Church.
I ask your kind support of their formation through the Deacon
Special Collection. In addition, I ask you to promote the spiritual support of our
candidates through prayers of the faithful of your parish.
I thank you in advance for your support of this important
collection.
Asking Gods blessing upon you and your families, and
requesting a continued remembrance in your prayers, I remain
Yours sincerely in Christ,

OCTOBER IS DEDICATED TO THE BLESSED
MOTHER AND THE PRAYING OF THE ROSARY
Pope Pius X dedicated the month of October to the Blessed
Mother. He asked that we pray the rosary daily for world peace. There is no greater time
than now to pray for world peace in the light of this past weeks activities in North
Korea.
