School News

The students of St. Joseph School will be starting a new fund raiser beginning October 15, 2007. They will be selling Schwan Food Products. The students will be selling from a special item sheet used in fundraisers. You simply fill out your order sheet and these items will be delivered directly to you by a Schwan Representative. They will not be delivered through the school. Some students will be selling after the Masses on the weekend of October 20th and 21st and also the weekend of October 27th and 28th. We hope to be able to use this as one of our regular fund raisers during the school year.

Friday, October 18, 2007 is Parent-Teacher Conference day. The students will have an early out at 11:30 am. School will not be in session on Friday, October 19, 2007.)

The theme of World Mission this year as given by His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI is: "All the Churches for all the World." Please be generous in this special collection for evangelization worldwide.

Stewardship "Time & Talent"

One of the best ways for any of us to learn about stewardship is to spend more time with God. Since stewardship is basically a way of life taught to us by God through sacred scripture we can learn more about stewardship by listening to God. Some of the ways we can increase our time with God here at St. Joseph/St. Anne is through Mass attendance, joining the R.C.I.A. classes, Eucharistic Adoration, Private Prayer or Scripture Reading. Once we begin to spend more time in deepening our spiritual lives, we will naturally begin to understand and embrace more fully the call to live as stewards.

If you have brother, sister or other relative or friend who has not been attending Mass, invite them to come with you or offer them a ride. The Church is open Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Feel free to pop in anytime and spend a few moments in prayer. Join the R.C.I.A. classes to increase your knowledge about the catholic faith. Eucharist Adoration is available every First Friday of the month. It is your opportunity to spend some time with God in silent prayer. We need to build a relationship with Him and trust Him more. Faith does not change things it helps us get through them. Open your self to God and the Spirit will do the rest.

Columbus Fish Fry
