On October 1st, our students grades 2-6 accom-panied by Mrs. Akins and Mrs. Basden, attended the Holy Childhood Association Mass at Holy Infant Parish. The school joined the Holy Childhood Association this school year. The goal

of HCA is to gather prayers and financial support for children in mission countries while inviting children to help spread the Good News of Jesus.

Msgr. Francis X. Blood spoke with the parish school children on Friday, October 2nd, about missionary work and the Holy Childhood Assn. All St. Joseph students have completed the"Safe Touch" program which is about the danger of strangers and is sponsored by the Archdiocese.

WOW! BINGO NEWS!

St. Joseph Parish Bingo has donated a check in the amount of $13,000.00 to the Parish for St. Joseph School! Awesome!

Thank you to all who work and those who support the Parish Bingo. You make this generous donation possible. Come and have some fun with us on Thursday evenings. You might even win the jackpot! Also, we can always use some extra helping hands. Everyone is welcome!

Walk for Life Walk-a-thon

Each year our Walk for Life is a simple way each one of us can impact a life. This year the Walk starts at 9:00 a.m. at Parkland Pregnancy Regional Center on October 17th in Park Hills.

Anyone can take part either as an individual or family. The funds raised go directly to families

in need in our community. Life is priceless, so partner with us to raise much needed funds to continue these vital services. Walk brochures will be available in the back of Church after each Mass.

Please pick up a pledge card if you can walk and/or sponsor a donation. For further info, call Pat Schwarz at 573-562-2819 or Autumn Stegall at 573-358-0868. Pat and Autumn are our St. Joseph Pro-Life Representatives.

Whenever possible, please support the advertisers on the back of our bulletin. We are grateful for the continued support of our advertisers and welcome our newcomers. Good Earth Monuments, which is a new business located in Bonne Terre, and Imo’s Pizza (coupon available) are two of our new advertisers. Thank them and let them know you saw their ad.

You are welcome to come and share in fellowship this morning after all the Masses at St. Joseph. Donuts, coffee and orange juice will be served.

St. Pius X Preview Night

Month of Mary

When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting the infant leapt in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb". October is the month of Mary. Have you said your rosary today? We as Catholics need to pray for peace and unity through out the world. You can join us on Thursday mornings after the 8:00 a.m. Mass or before the Saturday evening Mass. Please use these opportunities for prayer.
