ST. ANNE CHURCH,
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.

“Going out around five o’clock he found others standing around, and said to them, “Why do you stand here idle all day?”  They answered, “Because no one has hired us.”  He said to them “You too go into my vineyard.”

                                 MATTHEW 20: 6-7

Today’s Gospel tells us clearly that it is never too late to get involved in the work of the Church. God has a special need for each one of us in His vineyard.  The world teaches us to be selfish and greedy, like the workers who grumbled about their wages.  God calls us to be faithful and generous, bringing our gifts together to build up One Church where all are invited and welcomed.

The Knights of Columbus will sponsor a BLOOD DRIVE on Monday, September 26th from 2:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. in the Church Hall.  Please help support the efforts of the Red Cross by donating blood.

Our first Tailgate Sale was a big success.  Thank You to all who worked so hard in bringing this together and those who contributed so generously.  Our regular monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 5:45 p.m. starting with a Chili Supper.  After dinner and the business meeting we will begin to work on the lap blankets for the shut-ins.  On Thursday, September 22 Special Ministers and teams will visit the shut-ins.

Splendid ending to the Year of the Eucharist as you join your fellow Catholics at the Fall Charismatic Conference to be held October 7-9 at the Blessed John the XXIII at 8300 Morganford, also known as St. Mark’s Parish.  Two dynamic priests will be the keynote speakers, Fr. Ed   Hauf, OMI and Fr. Richard McAlear, OMI.   Registration forms can be obtained by calling the Catholic Charismatic Center at 314-633-2570.
