As a result of our ongoing attempts to offer yet more courses and in diversified locations so as to be a better service to the Archdiocese, the administration of Paul VI Pontifical Institute of Catechetical and Pastoral Studies is pleased to announce the inauguration of its first online course for the Fall semester.

Moreover, in keeping with its tradition of over 25 years in providing the opportunity for adults to deepen their comprehension and appreciation of the faith, the Pontifical Institute will offer a total of 25 courses, in 6 locations. The courses are in Sacred Scripture, Doctrine/Spirituality, Moral Theology, Religious Education, Pastoral Theology and Liturgy. A new course is being introduced on "Love" in the Thought of Pope John Paul II.

FESTIVAL MEETING

A Festival Meeting will be held Tuesday, September 17th. at 7:00p.m. for all Chair and Co-Chair persons including Set- up Crew.

Topic: Review figures from this year’s Festival, set the date for Festival 2003 and discuss ideas to improve our Festival.

Please take the time to help make next year’s Festival bigger and better than this year.

Please welcome Father Bernie Weber, C.P., a Passionist priest from Sacred Heart Monastery located in Louisville, Kentucky.

Father Weber is a missionary priest that speaks to the parishes in the United States.

His Order primarily works in India. In 1990-1991 the government of India would only allow Americans to stay in the Country for six months at a time. Father Weber has stayed in India and knows the situation first hand.

There are a large number of vocations in India and help is needed for the seminarians and some of the poorer parishes.

If we could see the conditions in other lands we would realize that we are so blessed in this Country. Please listen to his message. Pray for vocations and all of our missionary work as we seek to bring God’s word to all the people.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

 Father John

Please pray for the repose of the soul of John "Blackie" Valleck, husband of Gloria Valleck. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
