PSR classes will begin
the week of September 12.
To pre-register, please fill out the registration form that can be
found in the back of Church. Return the form to the Church office or to Jamie Weiss. We
hope to have all students registered before classes begin, as we need time to order
supplies and materials. There is a $15.00 registration fee per student that is required
before the start of the classes. Please make checks payable to St. Joseph Church.
In order to receive the sacraments of reconciliation and the
Eucharist, students must have participated in a formal religion program for two years
including the preparation year.
Kindergarten through sixth grade will meet on Sunday, September 12th
from 9:00a.m. – 9:45a.m.in the school building.
Grades seven through twelve will meet on Wednesday, September 15th from
6:30p.m. – 7:30p.m. in the rectory meeting room downstairs.

Our annual ladies retreat at Kings House will run from
October 8th thru the 10th. Reservations have to be made by September
6th. Time is growing short. For more information please call your Team Captain,
Margaret Scott at 358-0537. If something comes up and you have a change of plans, your
name will be added to a standby list. We are allowed 25 people this year.

a wonderful weekend with prayer, meditation, and soul searching----God!

STEWARDSHIP AWARENESS SUNDAY will
be celebrated throughout the Archdiocese on Sunday, September 19, 2004.
The theme for this year’s celebration of Stewardship
Awareness Sunday is God First – Feel the joy! This
theme grew out of a deepening concern that as Catholics we are pushing God further and
further back on our list of priorities as we strive to keep up with all the demands that a
materialistic society seems to impose upon us.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
This Friday, September 3, 2004 the Blessed Sacrament will
be exposed immediately after the 8:00a.m. Mass and will remain exposed until Benediction
at 5:00p.m. You are invited to spend a
few minutes in quite prayer and meditation. Pope John Paul III has
requested that the Blessed Sacrament not be left alone. This is a very hectic time of
year. Find a little time for peace and prayer.
YOU ARE INVITED
Today, August 29, 2004, Archbishop Burke will offer a Mass
of Thanksgiving at 12 Noon, in honor of the 125th Anniversary of St. John the
Apostle Church, Bismarck Mo. Reception following.
St. Joseph Church will offer a New Scripture Study Program. The
Program will last six weeks and is an introductory to scripture study for busy people.
