Thank You One And All!!
The St. Joseph Fifteenth Annual Benefit Golf Tournament was a
tremendous success. The weather was HOT!! But everyone had an enjoyable day. We had a
total of 33 teams competing for first place. The Kreft team and Carr team tied for first
place. Congratulations to you. The Terre Du Lac Country Club prepared a dinner that was
delicious, plus the people were served in a timely manner. The Auction was exciting and
fun. We thank Tooter Gower for his skills at leading the crowd and the good tiem. We saw
some familiar faces this year and we welcome the new ones. Thank you to all that came and
supported this important fundraiser for our school. Especially WE THANK – DUDE PRATTE
for his many years of planning, organizing, working and pulling together the many people
that it takes to make this a success. He and Monkey have a dedication to our tournament.
It was her commitment to St. Joseph School. Dude has continued to honor that commitment.
Least we not forget we also thank Butch Miles who volunteered this year to help Dude.

Prayer For Teachers
Heavenly Father,
On this day, we pray for teachers from all walks of life. For
those who work in the classroom, may they be models of your compassion and discipline. For
those who train people in professions, may others see you in their daily lives and hard
work. And we pray for parents, best and wisest of all mentors that their children may
learn holiness from their example. Whether their lessons are about math, work or life,
give all teachers that grace to show your patience, virtue, and your joy to those near
them. Give all teachers lover for your truth, life and Church.

"Protecting God’s
Children"
On August 26, 2007, at 11:30am Immaculate Conception Church, Park
Hills, will host a "Protecting God’s Children" class. This class is for any
new school teachers, P.S. R. teachers and other interested adults. Please do not bring
children to the class. To register, please call 573-431-2427.
Our Lady Sodality
The monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at noon in
the Meeting Room. Please bring a "sack lunch". Drinks and dessert will be
provided.
We will be setting the date for our "One Day Retreat".
Father Ray Oge has agreed to be our moderator.
Final plans will be made for our "Christmas in October
Sale". Please try to join us.

Anniversaries are invited to a special Mass at the Cathedral each fall. Couples who
register by the deadline (September 21) will have their names and the date of their
wedding printed in a beautiful keepsake program and receive a certificate signed by the
