Would You Like to Help the
St. Joseph Annual Golf Tournament?

Our Golf Tournament is this week! The tee time is 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13th. If you can’t play, you can still help by coming to the Dinner Auction. You may also honor a friend, a family member, your club, social organization, team or advertise your business by sponsoring a hole.

We are in need of auction items. We could use baskets and items to fill the baskets. Any and all new items, gift certificates, etc. will be greatly appreciated. Theme baskets are very popular and sell quickly. Please drop off your donations or call the Parish Office at 358-2112 for more info. Remember this is a big help to our St. Joseph School.

Help Needed!

Please call the Parish Office if you are able to help our ushers at the 7:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday.

ST. ANNE CHURCH
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.

What is Stewardship?

Throughout sacred scripture God tells us that everything belongs to God. He made the world and all that is in it. He made us and blessed us with absolutely every gift we have. Our lives, our families, our health, our education, our unique talents and skills, our job and our income are all blessings from God, entrusted into our care for the good of all peoples. Thus, when we tithe we are really only giving back 10% of something that ultimately belongs to God anyway. The amazing thing is that our God is a generous and abundant God who lets us keep and enjoy 90% of all His blessings.

Early Church Course

A few parishioners have asked if last year’s Early Church Course might be repeated this year. This course would be given over 14 Tuesday nights stretched out from about mid-September to late January. The growth of the Church will be explored from about 30 A.D. to 500 A.D. Our Parish will provide the text for the course or you may choose to buy the book. Please call Jeff Pratte at 358-5876 if you are interested.

Protecting God’s Children

A Protecting God’s Children workshop will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Park Hills, on August 22ndat 1:00 p.m. Deacon Mike Burch will present the workshop in the parish hall. Any adult who intends to volunteer in parish activities or ministries that include children must be in full compliance with the Safe Environment Program of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Attendance at a Protecting God’s Children workshop is required. Registration is encouraged but not required; walk-ins are welcome. Please call the Parish Office at 573-431-2427 to register.

Scrapbooking Workshop

The monthly Scrapbooking Workshop will be held this Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Church Hall. At each workshop there are tools to use, free gifts for attending, a small project to "Make & Take", products to purchase, and the advice of a veteran scrapbooker. Please call Jennifer Hopfinger at 573-358-7073 for more details.
