2005 PROLIFE CONVENTION FRIENDS FOR LIFE

The Archdiocesan  Pro Life Committee is conducting its annual Friends for Life Drive.

“The Gospel of Life” calls us to respect and protect all human life especially the most vulnerable of our brothers and sisters.  You can be a
Friend for Life.  Your contribution will help to save the lives of unborn babies, protect the vulnerable, the weak and the elderly, to educate children about the virtue of chastity, to heal those who suffer as a result of an abortion and to provide assistance for women experiencing crisis pregnancies .   Next Sunday, August 14th you will find Friends for Life envelops in the pews.  Please be generous in supporting the Pro-Life Programs and outreach efforts of the Archdiocese.

The men of our Parish will have their Annual Retreat at the “White House” on September 15th thru 18th. For more information and to sign up please call Denis Gosling at 358-5621.

This weekend we will have a special collection  for the Latin America Apostolate.  In the letter from the Archbishop read last week  he asks for your generous support and prayers. Knowing the past generosity of St. Anne and St. Joseph I know you will respect his request.

STEWARDSHIP

“Bless the Lord, o my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”

Psalm 103:2

The words of the Psalm remind us to praise God for all that He does for us.  This age-old attitude of praise and thanksgiving can still be a source of great joy for Christians today.
