Anyone with outstanding bills from the picnic should turn them in
as soon as possible in order to complete the Picnic Financial Statement.
Attention Children
This year, St. Joseph Picnic will have a new event for the
children. A "Turtle Race" and "Frog Jump" has been added to the fun.
So, Now is the time to find and train your turtles and frogs for the event. There will be
prizes for the winners. Watch the bulletin for more specifics and up dates. ( Just
reminder, if you should find your prize winning turtle and frog, to feed and water it
daily.)

Last week Father John announced and had inserts in the bulletin
about the volunteer Committee Chairman’s names and their activities. These forms have
been placed in the pews this week.
Please take a moment and look over the jobs needed to make our
once a year, annual festival successful.
Saturday volunteers are very important for setting up and kitchen
help to peel potatoes, preparing slaw and other dinner food preparation.
Every booth and dinner helper is important and greatly
appreciated.
Again please fill in your name and phone number where we can reach
you, along with the job number you would like to work.
Volunteers are asked to work 2 hour shifts, write in the hours you
are available. The Committee Chairperson’s will call you to confirm your shift time.
Monday volunteers are needed to dismantle booths, tents and clean up. Please complete the
form if you can help. Free lunch is provided on both Saturday and Monday for all volunteer
workers.
Please remember to tell your family and friends to spread the word
about our festival to have a fun time while supporting our parish and the Christian

Very important meeting, Please try to attend. The meeting will be
held on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at noon in meeting room. Bring a lunch, dessert and drinks
provided.
St. Vincent de Paul
Meeting will be Friday, July 11th at 11:15 AM in meeting room- all
volunteers asked to attend.
St. Joseph’s Annual Golf
Tournament
St. Joseph’s will be holding it’s sixteenth annual
benefit golf tournament at Terre Du Lac Golf Course on August 15, 2008. It will be a 4
person scramble-flighted. Tee Time is 1:00 P.M. Please register by completing the form
which is located in the back of church. Need to ask questions, call Butch Miles at

Your Invited
St. Lawrence Parish, Lawrenceton, MO will hold its Annual Picnic,
Sunday, July 20, 2008, on the parish grounds. Delicious dinners featuring Home Fried
Chicken and Kettle Beef along with Liver Dumplings and all the trimmings will be served
starting at 11:00 AM. We feature handmade quilts at our Bingo, a Country Store and games
for young and old. Take Highway 67 North or South to Highway Y. Go east about 10 miles and
you are at the picnic!

20, 2008 at 2016 Grothe Road, 3 miles North of Wentzville, Hwy P to Grothe Road.
Fried Chicken and Roast Beef dinners are served Family Style,
Carry Outs are also Available. Serving begins at 11:30 a.m. and will end at 7:00 p.m.
Prices from Adults are $10.00, Children Ages 4 – 10 are $5.00 and Ages 3 and Under
are free.
