Thank you to all who responded to the "Annual Catholic Appeal, 2007". We are completing the final stage. We have been asked by the Archbishop to contact all of the parishioners that have not signed their pledge card. A letter is being sent to these parishioners. When you receive your letter please respond. A report needs to be sent in to the Archdiocese. Your gift, no matter how large or small is greatly appreciated. Please sign the card and return to the Parish Office. Once, again we have reached our goal both at St. Joseph and St. Anne. We Need Your Help!!

Some time ago, we were told of the upcoming 40th anniversary of Father John’s ordination. A celebration is being planned. Someone is making a DVD of "This is Your Life, Father John". We have gathered pictures, dates etc. We need your help. If Father has been a part of your life, included in your celebrations and if you have pictures of him and your family we could use them. They will be returned to you. Please put you name, kind of event and date on the back of pictures. Please drop them by the Parish Office. Your help is greatly appreciated.

World Day of Peace

The duty to respect the dignity of each human being, in whose nature the image of the Creator is reflected, means in consequence that the person can not be disposed of at will. Those with greater political, technical, or economic power may not use that power to violate the rights of others who are less fortunate. Peace is based on respect for the rights of all.

Pope Benedict XVI, World Day of Peace Message, January 1, 2007

Join Us for the Rosary

The Blessed Mother is still calling out to all of us. Please pray for world peace. To rediscover the rosary means to immerse oneself in contemplation of the mystery of Christ who "is our peace", since he made "the two of us one, and broke down the dividing walls of hostility (Eph 2:14)

We ask you to join us in saying the rosary after Mass on Thursday and Friday mornings.

Prayer For Fathers

Dear God,

Tou have given fathers the task of raising their children to holiness. You chose Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as fathers of your holy nation of Israel.Despite their failings, weakness and poor choices, you made of them a great and long-lasting
nation. And when the time came for your Son to enter this world, you chose a holy man named Joseph as his father. As our Heavenly Father, you have seen us, your children, make both wise and poor choices.
Give us grace to be faithful to you, despite our failings, and help us be fathers to our children as you have been to us.

Amen.

You will find an envelope in this month’s packet that is dedicated to Father’s. It is called a Father’s Spiritual Remembrance. If you wish you can list the name of your father, grandfather, a special person who fits the role etc. Living or deceased, if their name is listed on that envelope they will be remembered in all the Masses during the following year.

All father’s attending Mass this weekend will receive a special blessing.
