ST. JOSEPH FESTIVAL

Donations for the PLANT AND CRAFT BOOTH can be dropped at the Rectory. Please place them by the air conditioner on the Benham Street side of the Church. For more information, please call Pat Schwarz at 562-2819.

The BINGO is in need of al least 15 quilts. Our goal this year is 40 quilts. If you have a quilt that you would like to donate and would like someone to pick it up, please call Barb at 358-0136 or Grace at 358-4169. Let’s make this the best BINGO ever! Your help is greatly appreciated!

ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY

You are invited to place decorations on the graves of loved ones for Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day. The decorations will be left on the graves for a period of one week after the holiday. They should be removed so the maintenance crew will be able to keep the grass mowed and trimmed. You may place decorations on the monument or base of the monument as long as they do not interfere with the grave maintenance. Please remember that glass or metal containers are not allowed on the grounds. Any decorations left on the graves will be removed.

WE PRAY FOR THE SICK

Please remember in your daily prayers Anna Olson, mother of Gary Inman, Joe AuBuchon, son of Bryant & Pat AuBuchon and please pray for the repose of the soul of Millie Hunn, wife of Vic Hunn and long time member of St. Joseph Church, active member of the Daughters of Isabella and past president of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE

We Are Here To Help! If you have a member of your family that becomes confined to a nursing home, is in the hospitable, or is recuperating at home after a hospitable stay, PLEASE CONTACT THE RECTORY AT 358-2112. Father John and Deacon Ron will visit the family and the confined member to bring them Holy Communion and provide them with the Blessing of the Sick. They will be placed on a list and Holy Communion will be brought to them on a regular basis. To avoid feelings being hurt by thinking that we don’t care, please appoint someone in your family to get in touch with the Rectory right away.

Congratulations! to Jack and Terry Stuart on the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. The happy couple was married on June 14,1952 in Kansas City. They will receive a special blessing at the 5:15 p.m. Mass on June 15th, 2002. May God continue to bless them with years of happiness and good health.

ST. ALOYSIUS GONZAGA

St. Aloysius prayed vigorously and fasted from age 7. Upon joining the Society of Jesus, he was told to ease up in order to study and spend time with the other students. He died while nursing the sick in 1591. Feast Day – June 21st
