Stewardship

"When I entered your house, you did not give me water for my feet." LUKE 7:44 Today’s Gospel calls us to consider how we serve God. Do we consume like the Pharisee who simply reclines at the table and expects to be served? Or do we contribute like the woman who kneels before Jesus and washes His feet? Every day we must make a choice. Take or give? Consume or contribute? Recline or serve?

St. Joseph Gift Shop

The Gift Shop is open before and after the 10:00 a.m. Mass every Sunday. Please stop byif you need that special gift for Father’s Day.

Breaking News Alert! Calling all NASCAR fans!

Delores Brawley has donated to the Country Store a T-Shirt autographed by our St. Louis hometown NASCAR sensation Kenny Wallace. This one of a kind shirt will be raffled off at the picnic.

Picnic Prep

We are requesting 3 or more desserts per family, preferably homemade, to be donated this morning. Chocolate and angel food cakes, and fruit, coconut, lemon and chocolate pies are the most popular desserts. Any and all help in the kitchen and dining areas would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Cele Govero at 483-9875 or Kim Loveless at 358-1377 if you can help.

Early Church Course

A few parishioners have asked if last year’s Early Church Course might be repeated this year. It could be if enough people are interested. It would be given over 14 Tuesday nights stretched out from about mid-September to late January. Explore the growth of the Church from about 30 A.D. to

500 A.D. and find out about the first Santa Claus; the first known use of the word "Catholic"; which of our present Eucharistic Prayers dates to around 200 A.D.; St. Jerome’s bad temper; and the heresies the Church had to fight during the "Jesus Wars". The Parish will provide the text for the course or you may choose to buy the text. Please Call Jeff Pratte at 358-5876 if you are interested.
