Stewardship
Feast of Corpus Christi

"They all ate and were satisfied. And when the leftover fragments were picked up, they filled twelve wicker baskets." LUKE 9:17

The story of the Loaves and Fishes shows us that when we share what we have – even if it doesn’t seem like that much – miracles can happen. God blesses the gifts we offer and makes them wondrous.

Scrapbooking Workshop

The monthly Scrapbooking Workshop will be held this Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Church Hall. At each workshop there are tools to use, free gifts for attending, a small project to "Make & Take", products to purchase, and the advice of a veteran scrapbooker. Please call Jennifer Hopfinger at 358-7073 for info.

ST. ANNE CHURCH
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.

Picnic
Sunday, June 13, 2010

It is that time again! Mark your calendar for Sunday, June 13, 2010 and share in the fun and fellowship of the St. Anne Picnic, French Village. We will be serving fried chicken, kettle beef and liver dumplings. The dinner tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children. You may dine in our air-conditioned hall or outside in the screened in area. There will be a Live Band and games for adults and children. Bingo will begin at 1:00 p.m. The top raffle prize is $1,000 cash. Our festivities start at 11:00 a.m. We will have something for everyone!

Breaking News Alert! Calling all NASCAR fans! Delores Brawley has donated to the Country Store a T-Shirt autographed by our St. Louis hometown NASCAR sensation Kenny Wallace. This one of a kind shirt will be raffled off at the picnic.

The ladies of the parish will be gathering on Saturday, June 12th, at 8:00 a.m. to do food prep for the picnic. Also, we are requesting 3 or more desserts per family, preferably homemade, to be donated the morning of the picnic. Chocolate and angel food cakes, and fruit, coconut, lemon and chocolate pies are the most popular desserts. Any and all help in the kitchen and dining areas would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Cele Govero at 483-9875 or Kim Loveless at 358-1377 if you can help.

Wedding Banns

Megan Ross, daughter of Gary and Sue Ross from St. Joseph Parish and Dwayne Morris, Jr., son of Dwayne and Pamela Morris, Sr. of Farmington, MO will be joined in the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony here on June 12, 2010.

Daughters of Isabella

The Daughters of Isabella will have their first Mass and breakfast on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at 8:00 a.m. We will go out for breakfast after Mass.

Missouri’s Largest
Diaper Shower

God’s Lifesavers are sponsoring a Diaper Shower and will be collecting disposable diapers of any size from Mother’s Day, May 9th, to Father’s Day, June 20th. Boxes for donations will be at the Church entrances of both St. Joseph and St. Anne Parishes. Diapers collected will be distributed to: Birthright, New Way Shelter, Parkland Pregnancy Center, St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry, and Nurses for Newborns. Thank you. Glennon Sunday Collection

The special collection at Masses this weekend will be for Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center. Cardinal Glennon, the only free standing Catholic pediatric hospital in the country, has been treating children for 54 years under the mission of never turning a child away. Your generosity is important for the hospital to continue this mission. Thank you for your donation.
