Graduation Blessing
Dear Lord,
The life that you have given us has many stages. Please bless these
young people today, as they leave one stage of life and begin another. Guide them as they
finish this chapter in the story you have written for them, and begin a new one, written
on a fresh page. Help them to make the right choices, Lord. May they always remember that
past choices need not sully a bright future, nor good choices in the past ensure that
tomorrow will be carefree and easy.
Most of all, remind them, Lord, that no ones story is fully lived unless You are
allowed to be its one, true author by those who live it.
Amen.
Congratulations to all of our graduates.
Have a safe and enjoyable summer vacation and check out www.archstl.org for
a Mass guide while traveling in state and www.masstimes.org when planning a vacation outside
Missouri.

Picnic 2009
It is that time again! Mark your
calendar for Sunday, June 7, 2009, and share in the fun and fellowship of the St. Anne
Picnic, French Village. Come and enjoy a feast of fried chicken, kettle beef served with
potatoes and gravy, liver dumplings, and all the trimmings. Dine in our air-conditioned
hall or outside in the screened in area. There will be games for adults and children,
Bingo, and a Live Band. The raffle prizes include $1,000 cash, a 19" color TV, and
beautiful handmade and machine quilts. Our Country Store/Fancy Stand will be open. Dinner
and fun will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until 5:00 p.m.
Picnic Prep
The ladies of the parish will be gathering at 8:00 a.m. on
Saturday, June 6 to do food prep. Also, we are asking each family to bring 3 or more
desserts (preferably homemade) the morning of the picnic. Chocolate and angel food cakes,
and fruit, coconut, lemon and chocolate pies are the most popular desserts. Any and all
help in the kitchens and dining areas will be greatly appreciated. Please call Mary Beth
Werner at 573-483-9693. Thank you in advance for your help.
2009 Annual Catholic Appeal
Please support the 2009 Annual Catholic Appeal. You will never
know the impact your gift will make in someones life. Maybe your gift will help a
family going through a difficult time, maybe right here in your own parish. Your gift
could help lower tuition for the families of the children in our school, thus, giving them
a good Catholic education. Your gift no matter how small or large is important. If you have
not been able to pick up your pledge card, our volunteers will try to reach you by phone
or mail in order that you may be given an opportunity to return your pledge card.
St. Joseph Gift Shop
The Gift Shop is open before and after the 10:00 a.m. Mass every
Sunday.
Eucharistic Adoration
The Eucharist is reserved in Churches to serve as the spiritual
center of the parish community since it contains Christ the invisible Head of the Church,
the Redeemer of the world. He is in the midst of us day and night. He dwells in us with
the fullness of grace and of truth. He raises the level of morals, fosters virtue,
comforts the sorrowful, strengthens the weak and stirs up all those who draw near to Him
to imitate Him.There is a sign up sheet in the back of Church for the First Friday
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. The celebration of the Eucharistic Adoration will
begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 5, and conclude with the Benediction at 5:00 p.m.
Please sign up for your time to be spent with the Lord. He gave His life, can we
not give one-half hour or more to Him?
Glennon Sunday
Each year, Cardinal Glennon Childrens Medical Center cares
for thousands of children who might not otherwise receive such expert medical care. Please
